HARVEST NEWS LETTER JUNE – JULY 2016
07/25/2016
1. The story of transformation
Dadamugabo, 45 years old, 8 children, a man Mutwa who lives in our beneficiary community
of Ntunda, who believed in satanic powers of witchdoctors,
decided to receive Jesus Christ as His Lord and Savior.
During our visit to this community at the end of June, he was
very sick, asking 3,000 francs to get treatment at the village’s
witchdoctor. I have sharing him the Good News, he believed,
and decided to bring his fetishes. We burned with joy and
songs of praise and worship, and we pray for him. Glory to
God.
2. Health
Matandiko Matthew is an old
man of 75 years, who had a
bad eye which gave him
excruciating pain. With the
support of Harvest, He went
to
Kibuye
Hospital
for
surgery,Now he's fine and
thankful: "Now I no longer feel
pain. Praise God for having worked a miracle in me through you.
I never thought my eye could ever heal". His family has also been touched by this act of love

3. Staff news
We praise the Lord for three births among our staffs. It’s a great blessing that God gave us
during this period of June-july. We have :
1) The baby of Abel and Antoinette
2) The Baby of Bonavena and Yvette
3) The baby of Yves and Chantal
4. Summer outreach 2016 preparation
We praise the Lord for his hand in the
preparations of the National Evangelism
Campaign 2016. Having coincided with the
labor camp, organized by the government for
political purposes, we decided to do
evangelism through charitable activities for
patients in public hospitals and in all provinces
of
Burundi.
We praise the Lord for having the permission
from the Interior Ministry in the 3 days, and
another one from the Ministry of Health in 5
days, authorizations that we used to have
usually
within
a
month.
During the verification of the list of evangelists
from Cankuzo Province, we found that there
are two people who were saved during the
2015 campaign.
5. Education
The first promotion of students in our school Harvest Primary School just completed the 6th
grade with an average success rate of 85%.
On 56 students in 6th grade (30 girls 26 boys) who started the year, 53 will move into 7 th grade
in September. In general, on 24 students who were ranked in the top 3 each class, 13 are
batwa ( 54%). The school still the best in the area of Muramvya.
3
For the accomplishment of our vision of transforming Burundi, one of our strategies is to teach
children the human and Christian values (integrity, transparency, love, service, tolerance etc.)
and
evangelization.
As the school is not yet under our total control, it is difficult to get there. I was received in
audience by the Minister of Education this June, The audience was promising. We continue to
plead and hope that in September the
school we will definitely granted.
