Explore the Arboretum
The Arboretum is a place
for all seasons: the brilliant
blossoms of spring, lush
summer blooms and
greenery, awesome autumn
colors and serene winter
snowscapes. Enjoy quiet
reflection or vigorous
recreation on Three-Mile
Drive, 12 miles of hiking
trails, 9 miles of crosscountry ski trails and 3.5
miles of snowshoe trails.
Open 363 days a year
(closed Thanksgiving and
Christmas)
Begin at the Oswald Visitor Center. Find out what’s
in bloom at the touch-screen kiosks, then pick up
exhibition guides, garden brochures and more.

8 a.m. – 8 p.m. or sunset
(whichever occurs first)
There are so many choices - stunning gardens,
comprehensive plant collections, innovative
environmental models - all amid a peaceful landscape
of natural woodland, wetland and prairie.
Admission: $12 ages 13
to adult. Children 12 and
under free. Members free
year round.

Display gardens that showcase specialty plants (e.g.
roses, peonies, vegetables, annuals, herbs), model
landscapes on the home scale, even a green maze.
*Visitor Center doors open at
7:30 a.m. for rental groups.

Three-Mile Drive; no
scooters, skateboards or
in-line skates
• No pets except dogs
assisting people with
disabilities

group and other visitors
• No vehicle parking on the
grass

• No climbing on trees,
walls, rocks, statues or
exhibits
