For high quality, low
maintenance millwork,
Fypon has you covered
from peak to plinth.
The mould is
finished with
a barrier coat
of primer
and filled
with liquid
urethane. The
urethane expands and hardens
under pressure, creating an
exact duplicate of the original
master. The new piece is carefully
removed from the mould and
finished with a second coat of
primer. Once the primer dries, the
piece is ready for packaging and
delivery.
THE MAKING OF URETHANE
For every moulded product we
make, a detailed, finely crafted
original master is used to create a
production mould. At Fypon, we
consistently maintain our masters
and moulds, replacing them if
they show even the slightest signs
of wear. This is to assure that the
detail of every piece created from
a mould is as clean and crisp as
the first.
