BlackArmor™ - The world’s first safe
portable hard drive
May 2008: An external hard drive belonging to CollegeInvest, a division of
the Colorado Dept. of Higher Education, disappears during a move to new
offices.
The drive, which has not been recovered, contained financial and
scholarship information, along with names, addresses, and Social Security
numbers for 200,000 clients, including CollegeInvest’s entire roster of
student-loan recipients.
This is one incident of laptop theft, many similar incidents have been
reported, averaging $4.8 million per breach. The Seagate BlackArmor™ selfencrypting storage solution is a pocket-size portable hard drive created to
provide safe, secure transport of sensitive data.

HP today announced an unprecedented milestone
in mobile computing: up to 24 hours of continuous
notebook operation on a single battery charge.
As measured by an industry-standard benchmark, the
new HP EliteBook 6930p configured with an optional
ultra-capacity battery delivered up to 24 hours of
battery runtime.(1)
“All-day computing has been the holy grail of
notebook computing,” said Ted Clark, senior vice
president and general manager, Notebook Global
Business Unit, HP. “With the HP EliteBook 6930p,
customers no longer have to worry about their
notebook battery running out before their work day is
over.”
Designed and tested to last, HP batteries benefit from
a combination of HP engineering and energy-efficient
notebook components such as Intel® solid-state
hard drives (SSD) and mercury-free LED displays. For
example, the highly efficient HP Illumi-Lite LED display

EliteBook 6930 for mobile professionals
The initial ENERGY STAR®-qualified HP EliteBook 6930p
configuration starts at only 4.7 pounds (2.1 kilograms).
It features a 14.1-inch diagonal widescreen display and
is available with an optional, mercury-free Illumi-Lite
LED display.
The HP EliteBook 6930p is built for the corporate road
warrior as it features a shock-resistant hard drive,
enhanced display panel and spill-resistant keyboard
to help defend data against bumps, drops and spills.
It was designed to meet the tough MIL-STD 810F
military-standard tests(2) that measure levels of
environmental reliability and operation at extreme
temperatures, while withstanding vibration and high
humidity.
The inner magnesium shell of the notebook’s HP
DuraCase is equipped with a honeycomb pattern that
is thermally bonded to anodized aluminum for a solid
construction. All HP notebooks are designed with the
environment in mind, with energy-efficient features
and select materials for easier recycling. For example,
HP has set a goal to remove all mercury – a material
commonly found in notebook screens – from its entire
notebook line by the end of 2010.

Freight
Free Freight Limit
Refer to SYNNEX Canada website at

Free Freight Exceptions
Some shipments may be charged additional freight
on an exception basis. Exceptions could include but
are not limited to: product type, heavy weight (orders
weighing over 150 lbs) or oversized shipments,
destination (geographical location) and special
handling requirements.

ll “Exceptions” are billed to customer.
• All expedited freight services are billed to
customer.
SYNNEX reserves the right to apply freight charges on
all orders placed outside the customer’s primary local
warehouse based on shipment destination.
Second delivery attempts billed to customer (the
second delivery attempt is defined as the carrier
having to attend the customer site a second time,
having been turned away the first time).
Fulfillment Fee (Drop shipment fee)
No additional fulfillment fee for orders shipped directly
to end-users.
Orders
Minimum Order Size (Handling Fee)
All orders, including Will Call orders under $1000 are
subject to a $10 handling fee.
Orders placed electronically via ECExpress under $1000
are subject to a $7 handling fee.
Will Call Pick-up
There is no additional charge to use SYNNEX Will Call
services. Will Call Customer pick-up area hours are
scheduled for your convenience as follows:

Vancouver, BC: 8:30 am until 6 pm

Order Cut-off Times
Orders received in the warehouse by 6:00 p.m. local
time will be shipped the same day.
Refused Shipment / Charges
A $50 charge per refused shipment will be charged
unless the refusal is based on a SYNNEX error or
damaged shipment.
Claims
Hardware /Software and Software Licensing
Customers (End-users for drop shipment) should
thoroughly count and inspect all cartons for damage
before signing for the shipment.
This includes palletized freight. All exceptions should
be clearly noted on the carrier’s delivery receipt.
Short Shipments
SYNNEX may not accept liability for shipments claimed
as shortage where customer/end-user has not signed
for number of cartons received (signing for number of
skids or pallets is not acceptable). Shipments signed
as subject to carton count after delivery are also
unacceptable.
Damaged Shipments
In cases of external (visible) carton damage, customers
should refuse the damaged carton(s) and clearly note
the refusal on the carrier delivery receipt.
SYNNEX customer service should be notified within 48
hours of the refusal. Claims for external (visible carton
damage) may not be honoured when not refused by
the customer/end-user at time of receipt.
All claims for concealed product damage or shortage
must be reported to SYNNEX customer service within
48 hours of receipt.
Claims made after 48 hours from receipt date may not
be honoured. Customer/end-user should make the
product and packaging available for carrier inspection
if requested.

Returns
Return Limit
Returns on “current” products are accepted up to 60
days from purchase date, subject to and limited by the
vendors’ return policy.
Please contact customer service for specific details by
vendor.
Up to a maximum of 5% of previous 90 days purchases,
subject to vendors’ return policy.
Validity of RMAs
RMA numbers are valid for 15 days from issuance.
Valuation of Returns
Lesser of purchase price or current price at time
product is received by SYNNEX.
Licensing returns valuation shall be based on the lesser
of purchase price or the credit value received from the
publisher by SYNNEX.
Out of Policy Returns
Authorized out of policy returns may be subject to a
fee of 15% of return value, or $25, whichever is greater.
Customer will be invoiced for freight, invoiced from
any other couriers or carriers or for any insurance fees.
Freight on any other return types must be paid for by
the customer/enduser.
Other
Inactive Account Reactivation Fee
Accounts that have been inactive for greater than 18
months will be subject to a $99 reactivation fee.
Interest Program
18% per annum or 1.5% per month, interest accrues
from the 11th day after the invoice is due, retro active
to the 1st day after invoice was due.
Vendor Pass Through Programs
Any funds passed through to the reseller on behalf of
a vendor that are denied by the vendor will be debited
from the customer’s account.
All eligible pass through claims must have SKU#,
quantity, price and required documentation.
Unauthorized out of policy returns will be shipped
back to the customer “collect” and result in a $50
charge.
Should this shipment be refused by the customer,
SYNNEX will accept the product, however no credit
shall be issued.
Returns of Ink
Stock rotation of ink where the product is dated, must
have a minimum of 6 months life before “install by”
date or “expiry” date.
Freight Charges for DOA, SYNNEX Errors or Concealed
Damage – All other Return Types SYNNEX Canada will
accept collect shipments for DOA products, Products
that are Synnex Errors or Concealed damages.
Collect shipments can come from ONLY the approved
couriers – Purolator and UPS. For anything over 150lbs,
Day and Ross.
