Victory through surrender?
Sounds like an oxymoron to my human mind but the only way to experience the thrill of victory is through sweet
surrender. When we think surrender or forfeit we think lose. A country who surrenders in a war, loses. A team that
forfeits a game, loses. A believer that surrenders control, forfeits herself to the Holy Spirit, is victor! Victory is realized
when life swallows death. When death is swallowed by the resurrection life of Christ. The greatest victory of all time is
the resurrection of Jesus Christ! His victory guarantees our victory in the spiritual war of the ages.
To lose your life, surrender all control by faith into His hands. Victory is in Christ but only if we are UNDER Him,
can we be OVER what He has already defeated. We must conquer through surrender to Christ, in order to be
more than conquerors.
Victory for today has already been given to us, so walk in it!

Check It Out!!
Gilbert Morris is one of today’s best-
known Christian novelist specializing in
historical fiction. Once a pastor and
English professor, His best-selling works
include the Christy Award-winning Edge
of Honor, Jacob’s Way, the House of
Winslow series, and the Appomattox
series. Morris won a 2001 Christy Award
for Edge of Honor, a post– Civil War
drama filled with magnificent period
imagery, heart-tugging interpersonal
relations and memorable characters.


Over the Misty Mountains This
historical western fiction chronicles
the story of Hawk Spencer, a man
whose bitterness over the loss of his
wife drives him from his home in
Virginia to seek the frontier of the
Appalachian Mountains to escape his
pain. Read about lessons of life and
faith that can carry us through the
harshest of times.
Deep in the Heart: Lone Star
Legacy This inspirational historical
novel is part 1 of a trilogy about the
beginnings of Texas with real Texas
heroes woven into the story. For
fans of adventure, history, romance,
and Texas, this one’s for you.

Reno Jim Reno, Civil War weary vet
and rambling drifter, seeks his place
in life. A historical Western fiction,
the first book in this series balances
action, suspense and romance.
Reno fights his own personal
demons as he stands for what is
right in the world.

A Covenant of Love First of the
Appomattox Saga series, this book
begins as the Civil War looms on the
horizon. Very realistic with
historical accuracy and a captivating
story line, we follow the family that
will be both torn apart and find the
grace of God through their trials.
