Prince
Hello my name is Prince.
They found me outside the dollar store.
I’m more than a prince, I’m a king!
And I’m not worth a dollar – much more!
A good Samaritan rescued me,
Including spa and lion clip!
How handsome can any feline get
For a big adventurous trip?
I was covered with dirt and mats,
And didn’t smell like Chanel No. 5.
But I could not have cared less;
I was just grateful to be alive.
I rode in a car to Journey’s End,
My heart burst into happy song!
My fate is to be king of Sassy’s room,
And my life will be healthy and long!
Mary Poppins
Hello, I’m Mary Poppins.
I was found all alone in the street,
Legs bowed, body filled with tumors,
And the fleas thought I was a treat.
My first day here, I fell in a hole of water.
(It’s a great thing – they call it a pool.)
Since I’m a Lab, I swim like a fish,
My new home is incredibly cool!
I was over-the-hill old, near-toothless,
Which added up to no future in sight.
Now I live in a suite
with four new friends
Who I love with all of my might!
Through my life, I had too many babies,
Like the old woman who lived in a shoe.
Here, it’s gourmet food,
a clean bed every day -Think I’ll stay until 2022!
Lexi
Hello my name is Lexi,
I’m a gorgeous tabby cat.
I came from Flagler County,
So what do you think of that?
As luck would have it, I’m disabled,
So a candidate for Journey’s End resident.
When my rescuers said where I was going,
Believe me, I was not even hesitant!
Along with a million others,
My home was the wild outdoor.
Let me tell you, cold is cold,
And rain can really pour.
At first, I hissed at my new feline buddies,
As loud as a lion cub.
Now I love everyone dearly,
And they admire my foot with a club!
Ralphie
Hello, my name is Ralphie,
I was born with crooked feet.
They say I’m a Jack Russell terrier mix,
(The cutest thing you’ll ever meet).
My knees are bowed, my toes turn out…
For five years, life had no regrets.
Then I fell down the stairs
And everything changed!
It was as bad as it gets.
Accidents happen, what can I say?
I dribble some, and run with a bunny hop.
Others talked of euthanasia; here,
the solution is simply…a mop!
Now I have lots of “imperfect” friends,
And my life has a great new start.
Everyone here is not quite right,
But we all have a perfect heart!
Until we extend the circle of our compassion to all living things, we will not ourselves find peace.

An Urgent Plea for Help
Even with the generosity of our wonderful supporters, there are times Journey's End still experiences grim financial
circumstances. During the summer months, donations tend to be sparse, and some years, much sparser than others.
We are currently struggling financially and have no choice but to ask for your help. Our funds are nearly depleted and
we are in dire need.
Any donation will help! We could never thank you enough for the times you have come to our rescue, and we will
never forget all you do for the very special animals in our care. Most sanctuaries and shelters are unable to
accommodate the special needs of our residents, and we are their only hope. We are dedicated to providing care for
the neediest of animals, the abandoned and desperate and most forgotten, and our ability to do this depends solely on
your support.
Donations can be made at our website (www.journeysendsanctuary.org) or GoFundMe page
(www.gofundme.com/journeysendmedical). Gift cards for Tractor Supply (where we purchase food for the animals)
are also greatly appreciated. If you prefer, donations may be made for Journey's End directly to our veterinary care
