She attended the Road Town Methodist School. After completing her education, she occasionally traveled ' to St. Thomas with her aunt, the late Christophina Raymo. On September 26, 1945, she married the late N athaniel Edwardo F arrington. From that union, they produced eleven children of which six daughters and two sons are alive. Miss Helena was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She did her very best to take care of her children and grandchildren. She always made certain that everyone was well fed before she ate. At times she would give her food to one of the grandchildren who might have passed by after she was finished making her shares. Helena enjoyed baking especially during the Christmas season when she made all kinds of tarts. She was also known for her delicious potato pudding. Everyone looked forward to the Saturday baking. She made sure she had a special small bread for everyone. After the children had grown up and had their own family, she would faithfully pack boxes and send for each one. Inside every box, there would be small packages labeled for her grandchildren. Miss Helena was a member of the Cane Garden Bay Methodist Church. She was a member of Class #2 and once a member of the Women's League. Recognizing she was a sinner in need of Christ, she accepted Jesus into her life one night at a revival meeting. During her illness she recommitted her life to Christ. In the year 2ooo, Miss Helena became a dialysis patient after her kidneys failed to function and continued up until the time of her passing. She suffered greatly throughout the latter years of her illness. On December 17, 2003, while the nurse was preparing her for the dialysis machine, she had other plans because when they were ready to take her to go on the machine, she had already taken her flight to meet her Master and her beloved N attie in that heavenly home on yonder shore. She died a very peaceful death. May her soul rest in peace. .. 6 -, Hele .... _j " I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing." 2 Timothy 4:7,8 2 \.
