about the artist
I am a quilt artist from Southern California who creates one-of-a kind quilt art pieces. I love to use layers
of luxurious silk, velveteen and cotton fabrics, paints,
yarns and embellishments to transform fabric into
wondrous landscapes where color, shape and texture
play with the senses. Since beginning working in fabric
I have had my work shown nationally and internationally through group and one-artist exhibits, have had my
quilts acquired by numerous collectors nationwide and
written DREAM LANDSCAPES: Artful Quilts with FastPiece Applique. My work also appears as part of:

Quilting Art is my passion
and I am inspired by my love of the ever-changing hills
that make up our landscape, and the ravens that mirror
and mock this region’s boisterous, and sometimes-crazy human residents. When I lecture and teach workshops I get to share my passion with others.

GREAT COLOR—WITHOUT FEAR

lives. Participate in the human color wheel
while reviewing the color basics. Then we’ll go
beyond and learn to see the colors of everyday life, to trust what you see and how to incorporate these color palettes into your quilts.

FIND TIME TO MAKE THAT QUILT!
Everyone has an organizing story or a special technique to share. As a project manager
for a large technology company by day and a
prolific quilt artist by night (or morning, weekend, whenever), I’ll share the various ways I’ve
used to organize my stuff and my time.
all-in-a-day workshops
Each workshop is designed to provide opportunity for fun
for all while experimenting with new techniques and materials.
DOUBLE-QUILT APPLIQUE
In this workshop you will learn two machine applique techniques
that are easy to achieve and will open new doors to your creativity.
Quickly and easily, by using just two fabrics, picking a favorite
shape the fun of creating a dynamic background begins. With the
background done you’ll be learning how to make small quilted
fabric embellishments that will become the ‘star’ of your quilt.
Most all students leave the workshop with one small
(18” x 22”) work well underway and some cases completed.

foils. (no sewing) During day two we’ll take fabric and may other types of fun embellishments for a test
