Furthermore, hunting and fishing do not constitute Furthermore undue interference, even if the land was acquired primarily to protect threatened and endangered species Rancho Jamul Ecological Reserve DFG organized family/junior/women hunts SDCWF member organizations g support pp DFG with Dogs, Handlers, Planters, etc. Dove & Quail Hunting Hollenbeck Canyon Wildlife Area Acquired with the Encouragement of SDCWF T Type C Wildlif Wildlife Area A Designation D i ti Open for Upland Hunting & Equestrian Use Habitat Enhancement Project Completed(QU p (Q has lead)) Sporting p g Dog g Training g Areas Established Wildlife Habitat Improvement at Hollenbeck Canyon Wildlife Area Volunteer projects include: Trenches dug & irrigation pipes & sprinklers i t ll d installed Wheat, milo & barley planted Dove roost poles placed & wires strung Public dove hunting opportunity created Wildlife drinker placement ongoing project Dog Training Area at Hollenbeck Canyon Wildlife Area With SDCWF encouragement, DFG established new dog training area SDCWF members repaired fences & posted signs around perimeter Now available for personal & formal group training sessions Honey Springs Training Area Being Developed Honey Honey Springs Sporting Dog Training Facility A Joint SDCWF/DFG Project: DFG has Agreed to Dedicate Honey Springs R Ranch h Exclusively E l i l as a Sporting S ti Dog D Training T i i Area, complete with Ponds for Water Work Water Source has been Restored to Area using g SDCWF Grant from FWAC Currently Developing Detailed Topographic Map to Use in Pond Design DFG has Assigned Employees to Project using Pitmann-Robertson Grants Additi Additional l Grant G t Funds F d Needed N d d for f Completion C l ti Boden Canyon Ecological Reserve Open for Upland Hunting Access via County y Land is Being g Pursued by DFG with FWAC Help Management g Plan Under Development San Felipe Wildlife Area Additional Lands Have Been Acquired Management Plan Under Development New Areas Will Be Open For Hunting 1 Sep Sep., 2009 Proctor Valley (Villages 14 & 16) Acquisition Sent Letter of Support to WCB Within 44,000-acre , San Diego g National Wildlife Refuge Management g by y USFWS Provides Public Access to Additional BLM Lands San Diego National Wildlife Refuge An East Co County nt Refuge Ref ge being De Developed eloped by U. S.
