The Pierre Fabre Group has been present in South
Africa since 1994 with very targeted oncology
and haematology drugs. It is one of the very few
pharmaceutical companies that produces drugs,
healthcare products and dermo-cosmetics
following the same efficacy and safety requirements
and the same stringent development and
manufacturing processes.

The Pierre Fabre Group has been present
in South Africa since 1994 with targeted
oncology and haematology drugs.
Pierre Fabre Laboratories was created in the early 60s by
Mr Pierre Fabre, a French pharmacist.
Today Pierre Fabre Laboratories is the second largest
independent pharmaceutical group in France with international
sales accounting for 54% of turnover.
The activities cover all aspects of healthcare, from prescription
drugs and family health products to dermo-cosmetics. Every
year, the group allocates 20% of its drug revenues to R&D,
focusing on three main areas: oncology, dermatology and
neuropsychiatry.

In August 2014, three South African children travelled
to the town of Avène in the south of France for the
treatment of severe Eczema at the Avène
Hydrotherapy Center.
