Drafted plans, sections & elevations for schematic and design development AW.Rash - 1 Strategic Tourism Development Graduate Thesis Studio, Spring 2014 Strategic planning to increase the economic and cultural resiliency within coastal tourism communities (Jelsa, Hvar, HR) Jelsa Svirce Vrisnik Pitve Existing and rehabilitated networks in Jelsa’s basin Existing Structures Proposed Rehabilitation Agricultural Zone Subsidized Agricultural Parcel Irrigation Channel Electrical Grid Riparian Zone Jelsa Harbor AW.Rash - 2 Professional Work Macahdo and Silvetti Associates, Summer 2011 Design Assistant during competition for multi-use, cultural center in Buenos Aires Main facade, street elevation AW.Rash - 8 2 1 Isometric of the hotel lobby zone (rehabilitation + new construction) 1 Section through hotel lobby zone 2 AW.Rash - 5 +0m -3m -2m This proposal seeks to relieve development pressures from the coastal town of Jelsa by expanding the towns community into the agricultural basin to the south; By introducing a lighting system throughout the region, movement is encouraged from Jelsa toward the hill towns. This type of expansion is flexible enough to respond to the needs of the local agricultural community without threatening to overdevelop the host landscape. AW.Rash - 4 Interactive Library Studio II, Spring 2008 An investigation of the how technology can create a new experience for research centers Building Elevation AW.Rash - 6 Average annual sunlight, floor plan The main function of ‘library’ as program is the storage of and access to information- and thus this structure investigates the formal and programmatic consequences of digitized data. Rather than housing stacks, the building would be required to accommodate the dimensions of large data processors and a means of intuitive access; in this exercise, a large touch screen enables data retrieval while the facade responds to both the urban and solar conditions.
