We have a large team so please arrive on time and listen-up so we can move the process along. Thank you! 1st Annual Triathlon a Success!! Congrats to all those Sharks that participated in 1st Annual Sharkbite 300! Way to go!! Thank you to everyone that made the 1st Annual Skarkbite 300 a success. A special THANK YOU to Marc Matthew and Kim Balog for heading up this event and DVCC for allowing us to hold the triathlon. Over 75 participants, ranging in age from 7-58, braved another hot day to swim, bike, and run. Swimmers started around 8am and completed the first leg of the race in the very warm water. After transitioning to their bikes, the participants toured the grounds of Dominion Valley as they completed a 5km or 12km ride. The final leg of the race was a run finishing at the Sports Pavilion. If every family donates an item or two the supplies will be covered. Volunteers THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU to all those volunteers that helped out at the Montclair meet. It was VERY hot and your help was greatly appreciated. Many of you also rose early the next day to help out with the triathlon – thank you! Don’t forget Remember, concessions is our biggest fundraiser and helps offset expenses not covered in registration. For the past two years, Sharky’s Café has netted around $9,000. Let’s keep that going by helping with donations. And don’t forget to visit the Café during the meet for hamburgers, waffles, and other great goodies! that these meets and events cannot happen without volunteers and it takes EVERYONE doing their part to be successful! Ever eat at Glory Days? All you need to do is save your receipt and pass it along to Lisa Hoagland in order for the Sharks to receive 10% back on your food purchase. How simple is that? From now until the end of July, Glory Days will give back 10% of all receipts that we submit. So save your receipts and place them in the envelope on the Sharks bulletin board at the main pool.
