26' concrete approach and 20' wood frame walkway out to a 14' x 20' cribwork dock constructed on
existing cribwork

Dear Ms. Pictou:
The Aquatic Access Development and Reconstruction - Schoodic Lake Boating Facility (Grant) is
proposed in Lake View Plantation, Piscataquis County, Maine. This Grant will be directed by the Maine
Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife with funding from the Federal Sport Fish Restoration program
administrated by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (Service). Due to the participation of the Service, the
project shall be conducted in accordance with Executive Order 13175, the U.S. Department of Interior
Policy on Consultation with Indian Tribes, the Native American Policy of the Service, and the National
Historic Preservation Act (Section 106).
We request your review of this project in conformance with the above policies. Enclosed you will find
information concerning the location and design of the grant funded activities. Please note that this project
is a continuation of MDIFW's original development of the boating facility constructed in 2008. The Grant
is for pier reconstruction so that the facility can continue to provide boat access to Schoodic Lake for the
public's use and enjoyment of the sport fish resources and other recreational opportunities.
