Welcome to Snowcoach 2015/2016
Being a small ski operator we strive to offer good value,
comfortable accommodation and excellent service. Our
fantastic ski areas offer brilliant and varied skiing over
surprisingly extensive slopes often with far less people than
other larger more well-known resorts.
This is our 37th season and one of the best things about a
Snowcoach skiing holiday continues to be the people you
meet and the friends that you make, on and off the slopes.
We sincerely hope that we will always continue to provide
something more than just ‘another ski holiday’.
The holidays include many extra things – some small, some
important but they all make a difference. Last year our clients
really appreciated all the refurbishment work undertaken at the
Hotel Terminus in St Gervais.
Please take a few minutes to see for yourself and compare the
advantages of a Snowcoach holiday.
So whatever your skiing ability, even if this is your first time
on skis or snowboard, we are confident that your Snowcoach
holiday will prove to be a memorable and enjoyable one.
We look forward to meeting you!
With best wishes.

Short breaks by air
Valmeinier Club Hotel l’Aigle
Our great value weekend and
short break ski trips are becoming
increasingly popular. If you do not
have the time to spend a week away
from home or work, or you just fancy
squeezing in some extra time on
the slopes, then why not opt for a
Snowcoach short break? Alternatively,
if you are able to stay for longer, why
not extend your holiday on the slopes?
The record last year was seven weeks
and for this coming season we already
have a booking for thirteen weeks!
At Snowcoach we understand that the success of a
short break ski trip is good planning and organisation,
so for those of you seeking flexible travel dates we can
organise individual itineraries to cover a weekend stay,
midweek trip, or any duration that you require. Whether
you are travelling on your own, as a couple with friends
or the family we can tailor make the ideal holiday to suit
your needs.
A popular option at St Gervais is to fly out after work.
We meet you at the airport for the short transfer into
resort. After a good night’s sleep and a hearty breakfast
you are ready to hit the slopes! Enjoy a full day’s skiing
on your final day and catch the last flight back home.

With all the awareness in
the press, its not hard to
imagine that flying emits
more CO2 than going by
coach, but we did some
quick calculations at www.
climatecare.org and found
out that flying from Gatwick
to Geneva releases 90kg
of carbon dioxide into the
atmosphere. Travelling by

just 15kg per person.

Snowcoach Service
Looking after you every step of the way
Our staff are here to help - so whether they are showing you around
the mountain or cooking you a delicious evening meal, helping you
book a private instructor/guide or meeting you at the airport, our staff
are carefully selected and chosen for their passion for skiing and
commitment to customer service.
All of our staff are fully trained to ensure that you get the most out of your Snowcoach holiday.
Our guests regularly write to tell us that it is our staff that make all the difference to their holiday, going
the extra mile to make sure that our clients have a memorable time.
Après-ski Activities
The fun doesn’t stop when the ski lifts close. There’s plenty to do in the evenings, either relaxing in the
hot tubs and saunas of our club hotels, or enjoying a drink in the hotel bar. Below is a selection of the
sorts of activities available in the evenings. Not all activities are available in all resorts; see individual
resort pages for further details.

Explore the mountains around our
Club Hotels, discover the ski pistes
and have a lot of fun!
At the moment, due to a recent court ruling in France, ski companies
are not allowed to offer guided or accompanied skiing. This is
disappointing as we are aware that our guests do value being shown
around the mountain. There is likely to be an appeal and as soon as
we can we will re-instate our ski exploring programme in full.
In the meantime, we will introduce similar standards of skiers to each
other so that you can form your own group to explore the mountain
at your own pace. For those who would like to take part, a member
of our staff will meet our guests outside the hotel and you can decide
which group you would like to join - fast reds/blacks, medium reds/
blues and slow blues.
The staff are living in the resorts all season, so they will be best
placed to help with all your ski related queries, from helping with
13
your ski hire at the start of the week, to recommending the best local
snow conditions and the nicest mountain restaurants.
We will provide each group with suggested routes and itineraries
for the different levels showing you the best places to ski, our
favourite restaurants, good viewpoints etc. You must be able to ski
a minimum of a blue piste to take part. We will suggest a central
lunch time meeting spot so there is plenty of time to catch up with
other friends in different groups and family and ski with them in the
afternoon.
Skiing with friends is the perfect way
for you to...
e Discover the pistes at your own pace
e Explore unfrequented parts of the mountain
e Get to know other guests
e Have a lot of fun with like-minded people
For clients requiring ski school instruction please refer to our website

Snowboarding
Snowboarding is a hugely popular sport all about carving around
the piste, grabbing air and gliding through the powder. No matter
what your age or background, snowboarding has something
that appeals to everyone. You’re never too old to try something
new and more resorts than ever are offering special terrain for
snowboarders. For beginners, the first few days on a snowboard
can be frustrating. This is why we strongly recommend you take
lessons from a qualified instructor. However, progress can be
quick and it shouldn’t take too long to become competent and
comfortable enough to move around the mountain with ease.
Once you are hooked, you’ll wonder why you didn’t give it a try
earlier! To many, it is the ultimate expression of personal freedom
on snow.
For the more experienced boarder, both resorts offer snowparks
including kicks, rails and half pipes
Skiing and snowboarding lessons
Whether you are a first time skier or would like to improve your ski/snowboarding technique, pre-book
your ski/board lessons before you arrive in resort directly with the ski school.
Ski lessons can be great fun for children and adults alike and whatever your level there is a lot to be
gained.
All our resorts provide lessons for the beginner, intermediate and advanced skier/boarder so, whether
this is your first time on skis or you want to learn how to perfect your parallel turns, ski school gives you
the opportunity to make the most of your holiday.
You will require a lift pass in all the resorts. For our recommendation please refer to the relevant resort
and prices pages.
Please note ski schools do not always operate on Christmas/Boxing or New
Year’s Day.
15
Off-piste
For good skiers there is some exceptionally challenging skiing
to be found in these smaller resorts. Enjoy another dimension
of skiing by taking the opportunity to go ‘off piste’, in a majestic
and tranquil mountain environment far away from the rest of our
busy world.
St Gervais, Megeve & the
Chamonix Valley
Famous throughout the world for its high altitude, top quality
off-piste skiing and mountaineering, the Chamonix Valley from
St Gervais to Le Tour is a world centre for stunning scenery and
challenging skiing.
You could take part in the great all-day Vallée Blanche
adventure, skiing the widest, deepest, longest glacier in Europe
from Mont Blanc to Chamonix. This 20 km descent with
mountain guides is suitable for good intermediate skiers and is a
truly marvellous experience. Descents of the Argentière Glacier,
Pas de Chevre and Le Lavancher can also be arranged. The
local mountain guides will be pleased to visit the hotel to discuss
the off-piste possibilities with you.
Valmeinier & Valloire
In most of the well-known resorts any fresh snow is tracked out
within hours of falling. The Maurienne Valley (just the other side of
Val Thorens) is probably the least known major off-piste ski area
and you can ski fresh tracks for several days.
Many mountain guides from the best French resorts rate this
area as the place to ski off-piste, and we are certainly thrilled by
our experiences of skiing here right up to the end of April.
The expertise of a mountain guide is essential and with your

Taking a ski holiday with a group is exciting and fun, leaving you with great memories that will last

Valmeinier & Valloire - Winter 2015/16
Doorstep skiing at Valmeinier 1800
High in the French Alps at 6000ft the resort of Valmeinier is a
sensational find, an undiscovered ‘jewel in the Alps’. Located high
in the Maurienne Valley, Valmeinier attracts good snow falls, being
only 10 minutes as the crow flies from Val Thorens and its glaciers.
Whether you are a beginner, intermediate or advanced skier, this
is one of the few resorts that solves the problem of families and
groups of different skiing abilities. The small and modern ski village
at 1800 is beautifully built in an aesthetically pleasing style, which
merges modern design with tradition. Valmeinier 1500 is an old,
picturesque village, harmoniously nestling in the slopes just a short
ski down from our club hotel.
Ski area
Enjoy dramatic scenery with varied and
extensive skiing. An excellent ski system
encompassing 3 valleys, this area has all the
ingredients that will make it a big hit as it offers
superb skiing for everyone.
You can enjoy skiing above the tree line on
wide pistes or take scenic routes through the
trees down to the rustic villages of Valloire and
Les Verneys.
The excellent nursery slopes are right by the
hotel, and the resort prides itself on its quality
grooming, which will boost the confidence
of the beginner skier. You can then progress
to the leisurely blue runs near the hotel and
cross the valley to Valloire.
The fast chair lift just outside our club hotel
takes you to a vantage point from where you
can ski back to 1800 or head off towards
Valmeinier 1500. You can ski directly to le
Crey du Quart and Valloire on the piste behind
Hotel L’Aigle and you can also ski back to
below 1800 directly from Valloire and get the
fast lift up in to 1800. Maximise your time on
the slopes, starting on that first chair up in the
morning and skiing that last possible run back
in the evening.
There is a selection of mountain restaurants
and bars, which enjoy a good reputation for
quality and reasonable prices.

St Gervias & Megeve - Winter 2015/16
St Gervais and Megeve
Plus Les Houches in the Chamonix Valley
Arguably the best skiing in France!
St Gervais, Le Fayet and Megeve are superbly
situated 50 minutes drive from Geneva and just a
few miles from Chamonix. These traditional villages
are some of the most delightful in the Mont Blanc
area with many bars, shops and restaurants.
Considered to be the greatest and most spectacular
ski area in the world, the Chamonix valley, together
with St Gervais and Megeve, is also the most varied
and scenic, with Mont Blanc, Europe’s highest
mountain, as a constant back-drop. The Mont Blanc
Massif with its glaciers and forested slopes provides
extensive skiing for all abilities.
Ski & snowboarding advice
Beginners eee The ski school meets just
above St Gervais at Le Bettex. St Gervais is
very good for beginners as the friendly beginner
slopes span out around Le Bettex plateau. The
sunny Mont Joux bowl is also perfect and a
favourite area for the ski school.
Advanced eeeee The extensive skiing is
excellent for even the most proficient skier. With
the whole of St Gervais and Megevè directly
linked, and the option to ski Chamonix and
Argentière, this area is highly recommended and
includes some of the best skiing in the world.

provides superb variety for all abilities. From St
Gervais the gondola goes to the top of Mont
d’Arbois, skiing directly down into Megeve.
The sunny Mont Joux bowl is perfect for easy
skiing. The more accomplished skier can also
explore the Mont Joly and St Nicolas areas. For
those seeking a challenge, try the World Cup
run at Côte Deux Mille or La Giettaz, noted for
its tree-lined skiing and rustic charm, this area
offers delights for all. Nowhere else provides the
scenery and skiing variety, dominated by the
majestic Mont Blanc Massif. In our opinion this
extensive ski area is excellent in all respects.
Combloux is a picturesque resort with
wonderful views of the Mont Blanc Massif,
perfect for cruising sun worshippers.
Les Contamines is famed for its above-tree-
line skiing and exceptional snow conditions,
which ensures a long season. With 120km of
glorious cruising skiing on long wide runs, this is a
firm favourite with Snowcoach clients.

There are many ski resorts all within 20/30

extensive possibilities in this region.

What Our Clients are saying about us
“Here are a few of our
clients reviews posted on
trip advisor last season, for
up to date reviews please
visit the relevant hotels on
Trip Advisor.
“Excellent for single skiers”
I have just had a really excellent few
days with Snowcoach at the Hotel
Terminus. Amazing value for the money
as the food was excellent, and the staff
couldn’t do enough to help. The quiz
night was good fun and I made lots of
new friends. Really enjoyed the social
skiing and felt very well looked after by
the ski leaders.
“Regular ski trip occasion”
As always nice and friendly staff, food
made to good standards to keep a
hungry skier happy. Room recently
updated, everything in working order.
“Feb holiday.”
This was our first visit to the Hotel
Terminus. The hotel was clean, warm
with inviting wood fire. The staff were
very welcoming & helpful - nothing was
a problem. The food was good & plenty
of it. We had a great holiday here &
would go again in the future.
“Half term February 2015”
This was a revisit after many years to
the Hotel Terminus. Lovely revamped
lounge and reception area, with
incredibly helpful and pleasant staff. All
the staff were amazing, and the snow,
weather and skiing were fantastic.
“February 18 - 21st”
We have just come back from an
excellent 6 day trip to The Terminus
Hotel. The staff were excellent
throughout our stay and never tired of
being helpful, be it making breakfast,
taking us skiing, making us cake and
tea, serving us dinner and entertaining
us after.
“Half term family of five
skiing holiday”
This was our first experience of a snow
coach package and were worried
regarding the too good to be true value
for money. We should not have worried
and were well looked after. The rooms
are warm, clean and comfortable. The
food was lovely, plentiful and it was
good to sample local food. The staff
were incredibly helpful and gave great
advice regarding places to eat on the
slopes and good slopes to ski for our
ability.
“Best trip ever”
I have stayed at The Terminus many
times but this was the best ever. The
hotel rooms have had a facelift, they
have an excellent chef and the whole
formula works. The Hotel Managers
are running an excellent staff and
seem to know how to look after their
customers. This is a club hotel offering
great atmosphere, food and service at
competitive prices.
“Ski trip 2015...”
Travel, transfers, pickups and drop offs
all worked well and on time.
All staff were excellent and particularly
the catering staff led by the head chef.
Excellent food throughout and many
thanks for catering for the ‘gluten free’
contingent.
All in all an excellent week with
Snowcoach...this company certainly
appears to have made great efforts to
turn the corner in customer service and
logistical organisation.
“Great holiday with
Snowcoach at Hotel
Terminus”
Just got back from another holiday with
Snowcoach at Hotel Terminus. Hotel
has had a big refurbishment which
looks good. All staff very knowledgeable
about location and ski area. You can
stay at Hotel Terminus for any number
of days, not just the usual Sat/Sun to
next Sat/Sun. Come by Snowcoach’s
coach or fly out to Geneva and get
picked up by Hotel staff.
“Brilliant solo holiday in
Valmeinier”
I returned for my second holiday of the
season to Hotel L’Aigle in April 2015.
I travelled by coach for the first time
and I was so impressed with the coach
drivers, the comfort of the coach and
just how easy and relaxing the journey
was! I will definitely be travelling by
coach in future.
My room was lovely and the food and
après ski activities were great. The
location of the hotel is so easy for the
slopes and as a beginner the range of
pistes for all levels was impressive. It
was my first holiday as a solo traveller,
but it really didn’t feel like I was alone
- all the guests and staff chat over
breakfast, afternoon tea and dinner - it’s
such a friendly atmosphere.
“8th trip with Snowcoach!”
We’ve travelled with Snowcoach for 8
consecutive years and this Easter week
was our third and best visit to the Hotel
L’Aigle. Location is great; the slopes
and chairlifts are just across the road,
and Valmeinier, combined with Valloire,
caters for all skiing abilities. Food this
year was very good, wholesome and
filling; perfect after a day on the slopes.
The staff were excellent, working very
hard, and really made us feel welcome.
Snowcoach guests come from all age
groups, but happily intermingle, and
share ski stories over tea and cake in
the afternoon.
This year in particular the Hotel L’Aigle
really delivered, and we’re sure to be
heading back soon.
“First family ski holiday”
Stayed here last week and had a really
nice time with my wife & two children.
The rooms are clean the staff are
friendly and there is a cosy feel to the
place. The food is very good and plenty
of it with flowing wine and conversation.
Being our first family ski trip, we found
the location and ease of getting on the
slopes great and after a hard day skiing
the welcoming open fire, hot chocolate
& cake proved very popular with us.
We chose to fly to France and the free
pick up from the airport really appealed
to my pocket....... if like us you want a
good value holiday in a great location
we would recommend this hotel.

“Amazing holiday in
Valmeinier”
I travelled to Hotel L’Aigle with friends in
early February 2015, it was our first visit
and we had an amazing week! This was
made possible by the great location of
the hotel, the delicious food, the cosy
and informal atmosphere of the hotel,
but mostly the brilliant staff. The staff
are all friendly and approachable, and
really do go above and beyond to make
sure that all the guests get the most
out of their stay. The town is the perfect
size, with a couple of shops, bars and
restaurants. Evening activities are
organised each night by the staff which
are great fun. All in all we had a brilliant
week.
“Great Staff, lovely place”
Just spent a few days here on my own.
Very comfortable hotel with great staff
who make you feel welcome. The food
is amazing and more than plentiful, you
will not go hungry and there is free wine
with the evening meal. Entertainment
every evening after the meal which is a
bonus although you don’t have to join
in. Everyone is very friendly so if you
are here on your own it won’t be for
long, and mealtimes are shared so an
opportunity to meet new people and
share your experiences.
“New Year in Valmeinier”
Stayed in the Hotel L’Aigle run by
Snowcoach staff. Had a great time.
Food was great. staff were very friendly
and helpful. Location of the hotel was
great. Nice and central for shops and
bars, and only a short walk and one
flight of steps to the main lifts and the
slopes.

trading as Ski Snowcoach. When you make a booking, you guarantee
that you have the authority to accept, and do accept on behalf of your
party the terms of these booking conditions which, unless agreed
in writing cannot be changed. A contract will exist as soon as we
issue our confirmation invoice. This contract is made on the terms of
these booking conditions, which are governed by English Law, and
the jurisdiction of the English Courts. If you had not seen these terms
and conditions when you made your booking, it is deemed that the
terms are accepted.
Paying for your Holiday
When you make your booking you must pay a deposit of £100 per
person. The balance of the price of your holiday arrangements must be
paid at least ten weeks before your departure date for which a 1.5%
charge will be charged if paid by credit card. If the deposit and/or
balance is not paid in time, we reserve the right to cancel your holiday
arrangements. If the balance is not paid in time we shall retain your
deposit or charge an administration fee of £10 per day thereafter, until
payment is received. All monies you pay to a travel agent will be held at
all times on behalf of Cantabrica Air Brokers Ltd or Ski Snowcoach Ltd.

Should you, or any member of your party, not take appropriate
insurance, you absolve us of all possible liabilities and consequences

reimburse us any expenses we may incur.

Special Requests and disabilities
We will endeavour to meet special requests or preferences but no
guarantee can be given. We will do everything we can to help those
who need assistance prior to or at the time of booking. If assistance
is required during the journey to the resort or during the holiday it is
important that full details are given at the time of booking. All requests
including those of a dietary nature must be shown on the booking
form but cannot be accepted as a part of the holiday contract unless
specifically agreed in writing.
Early Snow Guarantee
in recent seasons most of our resorts have enjoyed good conditions
and with our Snowcoach service at least one of the nearby ski areas
on our regular programme has had good skiing.
However, with the variable early season snowfalls, we have decided
to provide this special snow guarantee free of charge. It covers
departures from 10 Dec to 28 Jan (excluding New Year).
If every ski area on our normal programme has less than 50% of its
lifts open, then 5-3 days before departure you can decide to change
your holiday to another resort the same week or to change to another
departure date, subject to availability.
If you change to a less expensive holiday the price will remain the
same. If you change to a more expensive holiday we will pass on any
difference in price as per the brochure. There will be no administration
fees for any changes.
We will offer at least three alternative holidays for you to choose
from and of course will do everything possible to accommodate your
preferences. Under this guarantee there will be no cash refunds.
You have to consider other people. We reserve the right to refuse
or cancel a booking or admittance and/or re-admittance to the
accommodation or transport to clients who breach any applicable
rules or whose behaviour (including bad language and abuse) or
health or hygiene which in our opinion or that of any person in authority
may impair the comfort, or well-being of others, their safety and the
safety of employees, or damage to property.
Brochure Information
All the information in the brochure and/or website is published by us
in good faith and is believed to be correct and valid at the time of going

supplier of the service/s in question and our resort representative
immediately who will endeavour to put things right. If your complaint
is not resolved locally, you must obtain from the representative, a
Client Comment Form for immediate completion. Follow this up within
42 days of your return home by writing to our Customer Services
Department giving your booking reference and all other relevant
information. Please keep your letter concise and to the point. This
will assist us to quickly identify your concerns and speed up our
response to you.
It is an express condition of your contract that this simple procedure
is followed. We cannot accept liability in relation to any claim, which
does not involve death, injury or illness if this procedure is not followed.
If you have a complaint, we will try to settle it amicably. In the event
of our being unable to agree a solution, you are entitled to pursue the
matter through the courts.
If You Change Your Booking
If, after our confirmation invoice has been issued, you wish to change

date or accommodation, we will do our utmost to make these changes
but it may not always be possible. Any request for changes (including
alterations to names) must be in writing from the person who made
the booking or your travel agent.
You will be asked to pay an administration charge of £15 per person,

a cancellation and subject to the cancellation charges set out below.

If You Cancel Your Booking
You, or any member of your party, may cancel your holiday
arrangements at any time. Written notification from the person who
made the booking or your travel agent, on your behalf, must be

arrangements, you will have to pay the applicable cancellation charges
up to the maximum shown below.

Departure Times
If travelling by coach, you must be at the pick-up point 20 minutes
before the departure time, final details of which, including the pick-up
point, will accompany your travel documents.
If We Change or Cancel Your
Booking
Delays
Regardless of the mode of transport, it must be accepted that delays
can occur.
Delays if travelling by coach
You will understand that be it due to traffic, weather conditions,
mechanical failure, an accident or some other reason, the location
of any delay cannot, even with all due care, be predicted, nor the
circumstances or conditions which may exist. Accordingly, we
cannot accept liability for any inconvenience or expenses you may
incur or any consequential losses. We will make every effort to operate
coaches of the standard described in this brochure but cannot accept
a claim on the basis of an inferior vehicle being used as a relief or
replacement or in cases of ‘Force Majeure- Important’ as described
in these conditions.
A delayed coach may necessitate reduced meal and stretch stops.
Accommodation
Accommodation is reserved from 16.00hrs on your arrival day into
resort. On your day of departure you will be required to vacate your
room at 0900hrs.
It is unlikely that we will have to make any changes to your holiday
arrangements, but we do plan the arrangements many months
in advance. Occasionally, we may have to make changes and we
reserve the right to do so at any time. Most of these changes will
be minor and we will advise you, or your travel agent, of them at the
earliest possible date. We also reserve the right, in any circumstances,
to cancel your holiday arrangements. For example, if the minimum
number of clients required for a particular arrangement is not reached,
we may have to cancel it. However, we will not cancel your holiday
arrangements less than ten weeks before your departure date, except
for reasons of set out under the heading ‘Force Majeure - Important’ or
failure by you to pay the final balance or abusive behaviour. If we are
unable to provide the booked holiday arrangements, you can either
have a refund or all monies paid or accept an offer of alternative
arrangements of comparable standard from us, if available (we will
refund any price difference if the alternative is of a lower rate). If it is
necessary to cancel your holiday arrangements, we will pay to you
compensation as set out in this clause.
Minor changes for which compensation will not be paid include
alteration of your outward/return coach departure time of less
than 12 hours, coach departure points (if this is necessary, we
will arrange and pay for transport to a new departure point,
31
the method of transport being at our discretion), combining
coaches, routing, accommodation to that of the same or a higher
standard of classification, or loss of on board video/DVD service.
If it is necessary to combine coaches, the affect of this may mean
a change of routing, seat numbers, type of vehicle, a delay or loss of
on board video/DVD service.
If we make a major change to your holiday, we will inform you or your
travel agent as soon as is reasonably possible if there is time before
your departure. You will have the choice of either accepting the change
of arrangements, accepting an offer of alternative travel arrangements
of comparable standard from us if available (we will refund any price
difference if the alternative is of a lower value), or cancelling your
booked holiday and receiving a full refund of all monies paid. In all
cases, except where the major change arises due to reasons set
out under the heading of ‘Force Majeure - Important’ we will pay a
minimum compensation level as detailed below:
More than 70 days . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . nil
70 - 42 days . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . £5.00
41 - 29 days . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . £10.00
28 - 15 days . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . £15.00
14 - 0 days . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . £20.00
If we are not given sufficient notice to notify of a change in
accommodation or resort before your departure, we will pay, as a
disturbance fee, £10 per person in addition to the above scale and
refund any difference in the brochure price you are entitled to.
A major change is one which involves a change of resort, departure
time by more than 12 hours, accommodation to that of a lower
standard or classification.
Should a situation arise whereby circumstances amounting to ‘Force
Majeure’, as defined in these conditions, forced us to curtail your
holiday after the date of departure, we regret that, beyond any money
recovered by us, we could not make any refunds or pay compensation
or be responsible for any costs or expenses incurred by you.
Our Liability To You
1) We promise to make sure that the holiday arrangements we
have agreed to make, perform or provide as applicable as part
of our contract with you are made, performed or provided with
reasonable skill and care. This means that, subject to these
booking conditions, we will accept responsibility if, for example,
you suffer death or personal injury or your contracted holiday
arrangements are not provided as promised or prove deficient
as a result of the failure of ourselves, our employees, agents or
suppliers to use reasonable skill and care in making, performing
or providing, as applicable, your contracted holiday arrangements.
Please note it its your responsibility to show that reasonable skill
and care has not been used if you wish to make a claim against
us. In addition, we will only be responsible for what our employees,
agents and suppliers do or do not do if they were at the time acting
within the course of their employment (for employees) or carrying
out work we had asked them to do (for agents and suppliers).
2) We will not be responsible for any injury, illness, death, loss (for
example loss of enjoyment), damage, expense, cost or other sum
or claim of any description whatsoever which results from any of
the following: -the acts (s) and/or omissions (s) of the person (s) affected or
any members (s) of their party or
-the act (s) and/or omissions (s) of a third party not connected
with the provision of your holiday and which were unforeseeable
or unavoidable or
-‘force majeure’ as defined under the heading ‘Force Majeure
- Important’.
3) Please note, we cannot accept responsibility for any services,
which do not form part of our contract. This includes, for example,
any additional services or facilities, which your accommodation
provider or any other supplier agrees to provide for you where the
services or facilities are not advertised in our brochure and we
have not agreed to arrange them and any excursion you purchase
in resort. Where such services are arranged by us we act solely as
an agent for the provider and do not accept any liability. In addition,
regardless of any wording used by us on our website, in any of
our brochures or elsewhere, we only promise to use reasonable
skill and care as set out above and we do not have any greater or
different liability to you.
If the contract we have with you is not performed or is improperly
performed as a result of failures attributable to a third party
unconnected with the provision of the services, or as a result
of failures due to unusual and unforeseeable circumstances
beyond our control, the consequences of which could not have
been avoided even if all due care had been exercised, or an event
which we or our suppliers, even with all due care, could not
foresee or forestall, and you suffer injury or other material loss,
we will offer you such prompt assistance as is reasonable in the
circumstances.
4) The promises we make to you about the services we have agreed
to provide or arrange as part of our contract - and the laws and
regulations of the country in which your claim or complaint
occurred - will be used as the basis for deciding whether the
services in question had been properly provided. If the particular
services which gave rise to the claim or complaint complied with
the local laws and regulations applicable to those services at the
time, the services will be treated as having been properly provided.
This will be the case even if the services did not comply with the
laws and regulations of the UK which would have applied had
those services been provided in the UK.
5) As set our in these booking conditions we limit the maximum
amount we may have to pay you for any claims you may make
against us.
Where we are found liable for the loss, damage or delay to any
luggage or personal possessions (including money), the maximum
amount we will have to pay you is £50 per item affected unless a
lower limitation applies to your claim under this clause or clause
(6) below.
For all other claims which do not involve death or personal
injury, if we are found liable to you on any basis the maximum
amounts we will have to pay you is three times the price
(excluding insurance premiums and amendment charges)
paid by or on behalf of the person (s) affected in total unless
a lower limitation applies to your claim under clause (6) below.
This maximum amount will only be payable where everything
has gone wrong and you have not received any benefit at all from
your holiday.
6) Where any claim or part of a claim (including those involving
death or personal injury) concerns or is based on any travel
arrangements (including the process of getting on and/or off the
transport concerned) provided by any sea, rail or road carrier or
any stay in a hotel, the maximum amounts of compensation we
will have to pay you will be limited. The most we will have to pay
you for that claim or that part of a claim if we are found liable to you
on any basis is the most the carriers or hotel keeper concerned
would have to pay under the international convention or regulation
which applies to the travel arrangements or hotel stay in question
(for example, the Athens Convention for international travel by
sea). Please note: Where a carrier or hotel would not be obliged
to make any payment to you under the applicable International
Convention or Regulation in respect of a claim or party of a claim,
we similarly are not obliged to make a payment to you for that
claim or part of the claim. When making any payment, we are
entitled to deduct any money which you received or are entitled
to receive from the transport provider or hotelier for the complaint
or claim in question. Copies of the applicable International
Conventions and Regulations are available from us on request.
7) Please note, we cannot accept any liability for any damage, loss,
expense or other sum (s) of any description (1) which would on
the basis of the information given to us by you concerning your
booking prior to our accepting it, we could not have foreseen you
would suffer or incur if we breached our contract with you or (2)
which did not result from any breach of contract or other fault
by ourselves or our employees or, where we are responsible for
them, our suppliers. Additionally we cannot accept liability for any
business losses.
8) You must provide ourselves and our insurers with all assistance
we may reasonably require. You must also tell us and the supplier
concerned about your claim or complaint as set out under the
heading ‘If You Have a Complaint’. If asked to do so, you must
transfer to us or our insurers any rights you have against the
supplier or whoever else is responsible for your claim or complaint
(if the person concerned is under 18, their parent or guardian
must do so). You must agree to cooperate fully with us and our
insurers if we or our insurers want to enforce any rights which are
transferred.
Force Majeure - Important
Except where otherwise expressly stated in these booking conditions,
we regret we cannot accept liability or pay any compensation where
the performance or prompt performance of our obligations under our
contract with you is prevented or affected by or you otherwise suffer
any damage or loss (as more fully described in ‘Our Liability to You’)
as a result of ‘force majeure’. In these Booking Conditions, ‘force
majeure’ means any event which we or the supplier of the services(s)
in question could not, even with all due care, foresee or avoid. Such
events may include war or threat of war, riot, civil strife, actual or
threatened terrorist activity, industrial dispute, natural or nuclear
disaster, adverse weather conditions, traffic conditions, mechanical
failure, fire and all similar events outside our control.
