Elevation on the property ranges from 4,800’ to 4,925’ above sea level, and according to the NRCS 30-year average, the annual precipitation in the area is between 14” and 18”. About half of the property is made up of hills and draws with abundant pine tree cover and aspen groves while the remaining portion is comprised of large, gently rolling grass meadows. The terrain of some of the hills and draws is quite rugged with rock outcroppings adding to the scenic splendor. Some timber thinning/cutting was done many years ago and a few old slash piles remain. Most of the exterior boundary is fenced; fence lines in some of the more rugged terrain may be slightly off the actual property line. Resident herds of white-tailed deer, mule deer, elk and wild turkeys can be found on the property. Over the past few years, the elk numbers have increased dramatically in the area and are frequently seen on the Sweet property. Several pristine locations offer ideal sites for either a secluded weekend getaway cabin or a peaceful year-round home. 2012 Real Estate Taxes: $122.00.
