Make checks payable to Sage Creek Equestrian You must provide proof of membership for horse, rider, owner, and trainer (if applicable). Please use www.eqverification.org to print all your membership cards on one page. CHECKS, REFUNDS: Submit entries to Simone Windeler at 19525 Twisted Pine Dr., Colorado Springs, CO, 80908. Make checks payable to Sage Creek Equestrian. If the competition is filled, a wait list will be established. Current 2015 entry form must be used (You may use UDS or RMDS entry form - http://rmds.org/uploads/Publications/rmds-entry.pdf). Proof of membership and horse registration must be included with entry. Copy of Coggins and Health Certificate required for out-of-state horses. If riding a Freestyle Test, you MUST include a copy of your qualifying tests as required by the USEF. Up to closing date, all fees refunded EXCEPT office fee. After closing day, but prior to competition only Qualifying fees & Drug fees will be refunded. During competition days, NO REFUNDS. Office fees are non-refundable. SPECIAL CLASSES: Q Class is for the Great American Insurance Group/USDF Championship qualifying class. DM is the USDF Dover Saddlery Adult Amateur Medal Program qualifying class. . Second Level Test 3 offers a Dover Medal (DM) to the eligible rider (must be a USDF Participating or Group Member and a USEF Adult amateur with the highest score at 60% or above. Opportunity Training Level Test 1 and Opportunity Training Level Test 2 are classes made available for entry level riders who are experimenting with dressage showing (see USEF GR821). Riders entering Opportunity classes may not cross enter into the rated/recognized classes but they may enter the Intro A and/or B and/or C class which are not rated/recognized tests. Rider Tests, new for 2013, is intended to test riding ability STABLING: Overnight stabling is available on site as well as 2 blocks away. First-come, first-serve! On site permanent stabling, 12X12 with full size doors, $45.00/night per stall includes 1st day bedding, cleaning, and feeding. Additional bedding $8/wheelbarrow. Sage Creek staff will deliver bedding to stall from loose shavings. You must provide your own hay and/or feed. You must contact SAGE CREEK management at for stabling reservations, call or email Josi at 435-709-1762 [email protected]. Paying for it on your entry will not guarantee a reservation. SHOW CHANGES: The show committee reserves the right to cancel or split classes, limit class size, change arenas, limit the number of rides & number of horses per rider, and cancel or add judges. The show committee also reserves the right to refuse any entries. Show Management is not to be held responsible for any loss or damage that may occur. RIDE TIMES: Times will be posted on the Sage Creek Equestrian website at www.sagecreekequestrian.com by Wednesday before the show. Ride times will be emailed to the riders. Official times will be posted at the show office, and updated each morning at least one hour before first ride. It is the responsibility of the competitor to check the official ride times daily! Bridle numbers are required at all times when horse is outside of stall. AWARDS: Ribbons up to fourth place. Prizes for first place. One overall high point prize of $100 will be given per show but does not include Opportunity or Intro tests. SCE Team Championship is a team approach to show success. $300 will be awarded to the team with the highest collective score. Riders select their team members. Teams are made up of 3 riders and must include one Open rider, one J/YR rider, and one Adult Amateur. Team member’s names and ride class must be declared to the show office prior to the start of the show. Intro, Opportunity, Rider Tests, and Freestyle classes excluded. EXCITING AND NEW FOR 2016 – SAGE CREEK I-IV WILL AWARD A SERIES HIGH POINT BUCKLE AND JACKETS: The scores will be accumulated over all four shows and the buckle and jackets will be awarded at the end of Sage Creek IV. To qualify you must ride at least one test in each show – Sage Creek I-IV. You may qualify at Training- GP including Freestyles and Para classes. (Intro and Opportunity classes are excluded). You may get your scores either as a Junior/YR, Adult Amateur or Open rider. The rider with the overall highest average will win the buckle, the highest scoring riders in the other two categories will receive the coveted Sage Creek jacket. Example: The overall highest average is achieved by an Adult Amateur. Therefore, the Adult Amateur will receive the buckle, the highest scoring Junior/YR and the highest scoring Open rider will each receive a jacket. ARENAS: Two 20m x 60m sand outdoor competition arenas and one dirt indoor warm-up 210’x110’. Only horses with entries will be permitted in the arenas. Warm up and schooling may occur Thursday before the show, 2pm – 8 pm, and Friday afternoon/evening after the show. Lunging available in designated areas, but not in the warm up arena. From Salt Lake take I-80 East to Hwy 40 towards Heber. Go through Heber City and take a right on Hwy 189 towards Provo. After you pass the airport on your left, look for 3000 South on your right (turn right). Sage Creek Equestrian is ½ mile on the left. Look for the Sage Creek sign out front. Follow the signs for parking. PLEASE LEAVE YOUR DOG(S) AT HOME! NEW – GR845 EQUINE VACCINATION RULE Please be aware of the following new USEF rule: At Federation licensed competitions, horses entering the grounds must be accompanied by documentation of Equine Influenza Virus and Equine Herpes Virus (Rhinopneumonitis) vaccinations within six months prior to entering the stables. Horses not in compliance with this rule may be required to leave the competition grounds upon request by Competition Management. For the complete rule please go here www.usef.org/documents/drugsMeds/2016/2016GR08845VaccineRule.pdf Motorized Vehicle Statement - In accordance with GR1301.7: Minors who do not have a valid driver's license which allows them to operate a motorized vehicle in the state in which they reside will not be permitted to operate a motorized vehicle of any kind, including, but not limited to, golf carts, motorcycles, scooters, or farm utility vehicles, on the competition grounds of licensed competitions. Minors who have a valid temporary license may operate the above described motorized vehicles as long as they are accompanied by an adult with a valid driver's license. Violations of this rule will be cause for sanctions against the parent(s), guardian(s) and/or trainer(s) who are responsible for the child committing the offense. Penalties may include exclusion of the child, parent(s), guardian(s), and/or trainer(s) from the competition grounds for the remainder of the competition and charges being filed against any of the above individuals in accordance with Chapter 6. Wheelchairs and other mobility assistance devices for individuals with disabilities are exempt from this rule. USEF MEMBERSHIP STATEMENT Life, senior active and junior active members shall be eligible to participate in all classes at Regular Competitions, Eventing Competitions at the Preliminary Level or above and Combined Driving Competitions at the Advanced Level, Dressage, Reining and Vaulting Competitions and Endurance Rides. A nonmember may participate as a handler, rider, driver, owner, lessee, agent, coach or trainer at Regular Competitions, Eventing Competitions, Dressage Competitions, Reining Competitions and Combined Driving Competitions upon payment of a $30 Show Pass fee. Participants in the following classes are exempted from the Requirements of this rule: 1) leadline; 2) exhibitions; 3) games and races; 4) classes for 4-H members; 5) walk trot and academy classes (academy classes are classes limited to horses used regularly in a lesson program); 6) USDF introductory level tests, pas de deux and quadrille classes; 7) NRHA Endorsed Reining Competitions. 8) Opportunity classes, 9) citizens of other nations who have proof, in English, of current membership in good standing of their own National Federation, 10) USEA beginner novice division; and 11) assistant handlers in Dressage Sport Horse Breeding classes. Sharps Containers are located throughout the barns and one is also available in the show office. Please use them appropriately or fines will be assessed per USEF guidelines. In accordance with the 1989 Federal Waste Tracking Act, which restricts the disposal of medical waste, bio-hazardous medical waste containers will be provided in the stable area. All exhibitors and their agents are responsible for the proper disposal of this waste.
