WaterSki Championship 2016, which will be held in Gimenells-Pla de la Font (Lleida-Catalonia-Spain)
between the 31th of August and the 4th of September 2016.

2Llacs is a new waterskiing facilities dedicated exclusively to watersports which has at its
disposal a Training Center for Professional Waterskiing where you can schedule all kind of
trainings, waterski camps and national and international tournaments related to waterski in
all its events (slalom, tricks and jumps) and wakeboard. 2Llacs has two lakes, one slalom
course made of 6 cables, one trick course and one jump course with a Bemman ramp.
In the year 2014 the Spanish Waterski & Wakeboard Championship was held in 2Llacs, in this

During the year 2015 we organized with our maximum effort the 2015 U21 Europe & Africa

1. THE SITE LOCATION
2Llacs Waterski Club is located in the Gimenells - Pla de la Font municipality, at 10 minutes
from Lleida in the western area of Catalonia (Spain), with an easy access through the
highway A-2 and motorway AP-2. Furthermore, Lleida is located at 160 Km from Barcelona
and 160 Km from El Prat-Barcelona International Airport.
Gimenells – Pla de la Font is a small municipality and its economy depends on agriculture
and cattle raising. It is a great natural place for adventure sports.
Lleida is the capital city of Segrià region and the province that takes its name. It is the most
important population and economic inland centre in Catalonia. Its economy is based on the
agri-food sector, as well as on all kinds of services.
Lleida has a very important monumental history where “La Seu Vella” is one of the most
relevant protagonists and candidate to the UNESCO heritage. This natural legacy has made
Lleida grow, following environmental and quality values within the framework of a
sustainable city.

2. THE SITE CONDITIONS
2Llacs has 2 waterski lakes, the Northern Lake is 660 meters long by 150 meters wide and
has a depth of 5 meters throughout the whole bottom of the Lake. This lake has slalom,
tricks and jump course and it will be used for the tournament and trainings.
On the other hand, the Southern Lake is 700 meters long by 100 meters wide and has a
depth of 5 meters throughout the whole bottom of the Lake. This second lake will be used
exclusively for trainings.
In September, the season will be summer and the weather conditions and the average
temperatures are max. 29 degrees Celsius and min.12 degrees and the water temperature is
around 23 degrees Celsius.
The two lakes are surrounded by agricultural vegetation and vineyards.

3. AIRPORTS AND TRANSPORT
A.
By flight:
The local airport in the area is LLEIDA-ALGUAIRE, located only a few minutes from the
waterskiing facilities and approximately 15 minutes from the official hotel.
The main airport is BARCELONA-EL PRAT INTERNATIONAL, located outside Barcelona
city and about 150 Km from Lleida city.
The other is AIRPORT-REUS, located outside Reus city and about 90 Km from Lleida city.

6. TO ENTER IN SPAIN
The documentation you need will depend greatly on where you are coming from:
*If you are citizen of any nation in the European Union, Switzerland, Norway, Iceland, or
Liechtenstein, you will only need your National Identification Document. Please note that in
case you are minor, passport will also be required.
*If you are from Andorra, Croatia, Israel, Monaco, Romania, you will need to show a valid

passport to enter in Spain. Your stay may not exceed 90 days.
*If you are coming from any other country, in accordance with EU regulations, you must

7. SKI STORAGE
The organization will supply storage for competitor’s equipment.
Whilst security staff will be on site, the organization is not responsible for equipment that is
lost or damaged.
8. DOPING CONTROL
In accordance with the IWWSF anti-doping Rules, drug control will be conducted during the
competition. In entering this competition all skiers agree to be subject to doping control.

10. INTENTION TO ENTER FORMS:
All member federations must submit their intention to enter forms online no later than the
30th of June 2016, through the E&A Tournament Council website: http://iwwfeatc.com/,
tournament section.
Law 4.5.1.6. Team or individual athletes not showing up the entry fees of team or individual athletes
failing to show up after having been entered by their Federation shall still be payable in full, unless a
valid written excuse is received by 12 noon of the day before the start of the competition.
Law 4.4.2. Intention to Enter Form. For all the E&A Title Events the E&A office will send an “Intention
to Enter” form to the federations. This “Intention to Enter” form has to be returned to the organizing
Federation and to the E&A divisional council representative to the event with a deadline of two
months before the start of the competition.
A Federation entering a team (even of only one skier) after that deadline will be fined 200€. To be
accepted, the “Intention to Enter” form must be accompanied by a deposit amounting to 50€ for
each athlete mentioned on the form. (For instance: 3 athletes: 3x50= 150€). This amount must be
paid to the organizers and is non- refundable. This 50€ will be deducted from the entry fee to be paid
for each athlete.
The Federation may enter up to two additional athletes more than originally declared on the “Intention to Enter” form. If more than two additional athletes participate, then a fee of 50€ per additional
athlete will be levied upon that Federation.
11. ENTRY FORMS:
Entry forms must be done no later than 16th of August 2016 online, through the E&A website: http://iwwfeatc.com/.
12. ENTRY FEES
The entry fee will be 180€ for each competitor, regardless of how many events entered.
Late fees will apply in accordance with E&A rules.

13. TRAININGS
Trainings at 2Llacs Waterski Club is available from March 2016 on forward. Should you be
interested to book, please send us and email to [email protected]. In this regard, you can check
the training time schedule in our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/dosllacsEA
Training times will be offered and sold in 15 minutes intervals. To reserve training slots for
your team please mail Anthony Lechevallier.
Up to 28th of August the trainings will be set at the competition lake. From 29 th of August at
the competition lake is going to take place the familiarization and the competition.
From 29th of August to 3rd of September skiers will be able to train at the second lake. In this
lake there will be a second slalom course, as well as it is going to be possible to do tricks
though jumpers will only cut.
The rate for training will be 240€ per hour, or 60€ per 15 minutes (since 20th August)
Training on site is to be paid in advance to confirm your booking.
Training should be paid by bank transfer.

14. FAMILIARIZATION
Official familiarization will be offered August 29th and 30th from 08,00h to 20,00h, at a rate
of 240€ per hour (4€ per minute) and according to rule 1.18 of E&A additional rules:
The last two days immediately before the Championships will be reserved and used for
Official Familiarization. This will be organized so that each competitor who has paid shall be
allotted either a set number of passes and/or a certain amount of time at the discretion of
the Chief Judge based on the principle that every skier shall receive an equal opportunity for
familiarization.
Slalom skiers will receive a maximum of 4 passes (or 6 minutes); trick skiers 2 passes (or 5
minutes) and jump skiers 3 jumps (or 6 minutes).
Each team requesting familiarization time shall indicate on the official Intention to Enter
form time required, which must be submitted at least 60 days before the scheduled start of
the event. They must indicate how many skiers in each event wish to participate. Teams who
do not comply with this deadline will not be included in the familiarization schedule. At least

45 days before the scheduled start of the event, the Organiser (in consultation with the
Chief Judge, whose decision shall be final) shall announce the official familiarization
schedule (including the allowed time). Time will be scheduled for competitors on a random
team basis, and shall be grouped by event, i.e. slalom familiarization, trick familiarization
and jump familiarization (by jump height) will be grouped together. Any athlete whose time
has not been paid for at least 30 days before the scheduled start of the event, or who is not
ready to ski in accordance with the schedule, will lose their official familiarization time.
The Chief Judge shall have the discretion to change the start time of team’s familiarization
based on extraordinary circumstances.

All teams are kindly requested to provide one (1) national flag (1m x 1,5m) and their
national anthem, which can also be sent via email file mp3 format to [email protected] or by
USB-stick in the same format.
17. OPENING CEREMONY (Friday 2nd of September)
The Opening Ceremony will take place in the city
center of Lleida. The athletes will parade along the old
quarter of Lleida. Political authorities shall deliver
speeches welcoming all teams and judges to the city.
Meanwhile, traditional musical and cultural shows will
follow in the old quarter.
We remind all teams to wear the official uniform for
the opening ceremony.
Each team must bring a flag of their country.

Lunch and drinks will be available at the site, by professional catering service. It is the same
catering service than last year, which had a great success.

entirely at my own risk, and I agree I will have no claim of any description against the
organizers, their officials, servants or agents, or the Spanish Waterski Federation for any

including by negligence, during my involvement or participation in the tournament.
I have fully read and understood the rules and regulations of participation and competition
in the Championships and I do hereby covenant with, and undertake to, the IWWF to at alltime fully comply with, and abide by, the same.
I am in good physical and mental health and I am physically capable of competing and
participating, and fully competent to participate and compete, as a competitor in the
Championships and that I have not been certified and/or advised otherwise by any qualified

The organizer Committee and E&A will not be liable for any loss or damage to equipment or
personal property, and injuries to athletes, officials, judges, official volunteers, and other
persons attending official or unofficial programmers during the event. Athletes are required to
purchase and show proof of personal accident insurance prior to entry. The insurance policy
must provide coverage internationally. The organizer will not be responsible for any injury
sustained, at any time, by any athlete from his participation in these events.
