Gas bottles have finally evolved
We all do it
When the gas bottle is low, or worse its contents
level is unknown, we exchange it and pay the price
for a full one. This is not only costly, but the
exchange bottle we pick up is not new (except perhaps once in ten thousand), so who knows how
many budding ‘
Cozy Powell’amateur hammers
have been drumming out tunes on it in the garden
shed. Or how many times it has been thrown,
dropped, slung or slid during transportation. Who
knows how old or safe it is?
Better then to own your own
from new
We all use them
Happily and without questioning we place them in
our Campers, Caravans, & Mobile homes, we use
them for barbeques, heaters, catering and boats.
Those gas bottles traditionally available would
nowadays never obtain approval for use if subject to
modern automotive standards. So why are they
allowed for cooking, camping, catering, and heating, and why do they cost so much to exchange?
Rather than exchanging your propane or
butane gas bottle, the savings both for commercial and private use when refilling or
topping up can be enormous, especially if
you have your own bulk use or retail LPG
supply tank, and in any event, the more you
use the more you save.
Safety is not just important,
it’
s paramount
For both domestic and commercial use. If you
are a single bottle user, or running a company
that employs costly and numerous exchange gas
bottles for whatever reason: industry, caravans,
catering, boats, campers, or mobile homes, then
the potential for own use, or for offering the latest cost-efficient and safe gas storage cylinders
to your customers is clear.
Why wait for legislation? Be the first to offer the best, save a fortune and
better still, be ahead of the rest

How much does it cost?
Typically a 6 kilo. exchange bottle in the UK costs in excess
of £10.00, and holds approximately 10 Litres of gas, thus a fill
up from empty at our pump price of 38ppl means that you can
fill up for less than half the normal cost. Most other pump
prices around the country range from 34ppl to 42ppl, and
don’
t forget also that these pump prices include road duty and
extra VAT, so if you have your own supply of LPG it can be as
little as 20ppl. We have found that a 10.5 kilo. bottle typically
costs from £12.00 to £18.00 to exchange, and as it holds
approx 20 litres of gas, it can be filled up for under £8.00.
Most gas bottles are exchanged well before they are empty
either because you don’
t know how much gas is left or you
are not sure there is enough for your usage, for sure there is
nothing worse than running out of gas half way through your
barbeque.
LPG Stands for Liquid Petroleum Gas and is the corrected
mix of Butane & Propane relevant to the time of year and supply, (due to temperature changes) and therefore is correct in
most cases for both Propane and Butane equipment.

Barbecues
Outdoor cooking is becoming more and more popular in the
UK, especially around summer time, and the range of barbecue equipment is enormous. It’
s funny though, although
barbecues can cost many hundreds of pounds for the larger and more sophisticated styles, most owners still rely on
that costly exchange gas bottle, along with all its inconveniences.
Patio Heaters
Yet another increasingly popular device that up to now
has relied on expensive exchange bottle gas, yet another reason to own your own refillable bottle. There is a
range of LPG refillable bottles from us to suit them all.
Camping gas
Whether you’
re going to Europe, or heading off into the
deepest corners of the United Kingdom, you will have no
problem finding a supplier of LPG almost anywhere you go.
You may find some are reluctant to fill your bottle directly as
they would not be fully aware that this product is approved
for filling, and offers no overfill possibility unlike conventional
gas bottles. You can try reassuring and educating them
where necessary.
This is where the added benefit of the remote filling system
comes in, because, once installed in your trailer, camper or
caravan, it allows you to fill up without worry, as it then
becomes no different to filling up your car or van.
Classic or modern campers and caravans benefit alike with
offering either direct or remote filling of the cylinder. What’
s
more, when you get home, you can take off the cylinder and
use it for your barbeque, or anything else. Certain styles of
fittings are not suitable for constant removal and refitting,
please enquire if this would be your intention.
You can almost smell it cooking!
Outdoor cooking can be great fun
and now is no longer an expensive
luxury. With the convenience of your
own refillable gas bottle, it has never
been simpler.
Fork Lift Trucks
This is just one of the many uses of bottled gas in industry.
Fork lift trucks work cleanly on bottled gas rather than diesel
or petrol, and refillable gas
bottles need not be
removed if using our
remote filling kit. With the
added advantage of a contents gauge as well as
being able to refill them,
you need never run out
again.
So many other industrial uses
Fork Lift trucks are only one such use of Gas. These bottles can also be great on the farm for grain dying, out in the
fields for bird scaring, or in the workshop for heating, plus endless other possibilities.
2
Vapour take off or liquid?
Mostly for heating & cooking the gas is taken off from the top
of the tank via a special valve as vapour. The style for fork
lifts is designed to work on the side and the gas is taken as
a liquid. We supply both variants of bottle, and if you’
re not
sure what type you need, we will be happy to advise.
Mobile Homes
The UK has countless mobile homes and mobile home
sites, both static as permanent dwellings, and seasonal
sites for holidays in the countryside or along the coast.
Whether you own the whole site or just one of the caravans,
the benefits of your own refillable gas bottle will soon
become obvious. Caravan site owners could be expected to
make major savings by having their own fill-up point and
purchasing the gas at the lowest possible bulk price, which
is normally around 20ppl that’
s a mere £4.00 or so to fill a
10.5 kilo bottle, or £2.00 for a 6 kilo bottle. Much less if it’
s
not yet empty at the end of the stay.
Site owners could save a fortune and have the convenience of having their own fill-up point plus the safest bottles ever.
Commercial catering
The commercial catering trade have been looking for a
solution like this for years. Whether you have a chip van,
a burger bar, a hog roast or other mobile catering unit,
you can start to enjoy the convenience and cost savings
immediately. And, as a heavy user of gas, your bottles
will pay for themselves in just a few weeks if not days.
As with all our bottles, you can either fill using the remote
fill kit on your trailer, or by removing the bottle and filling
it removed. If you own a mobile catering business and
operate a few, or a great many trailers, the savings will
not only be virtually instantaneous, but also considerable, plus no more need to lug those heavy propane
cylinders about.
LPG refillable gas is ideal for commercial catering applications Convenient, ultra
safe and low-cost gas, there’
s never been a better way to cook on the move
Boats and watercraft
There is nothing like a relaxing break on country wide canals, countless
lakes and other charming waterways in the UK, from the highlands of
Scotland to the Norfolk Broads and Lands End, and there is always somewhere close to fill up. Refillable bottles can be removed for filling, or filled
in situ using our remote filling kit. As more and more companies are able
to supply LPG from their own jetty or moorings.
Boating holiday companies can benefit greatly by installing a filling tank at
base, then they can always guarantee their customers leave with a full bottle, and are able to accept the boat back again with a full bottle and no
arguments. Also, for longer journeys, customers can be supplied with a list
of LPG filling stations on or close to their route, giving them added service
and customer satisfaction.
Add to this the very low cost of topping up rather than exchanging every
time a boat comes home, the gas costing only a fraction of the price, and
considering the increased safety aspects of these bottles, you can see
why it is such a great idea. Finally, you no longer have the hassle of
untimely gas bottle deliveries, bulk bottle storage and all other inconvenience that goes along with it.
Refillable gas is ideal for boats Enjoy your time on the
water, don’
t waste it looking for exchange gas bottles

Convenience
There are now over 1200 retail suppliers of LPG, both from garage forecourts
and smaller establishments. If you own a larger vehicle that cannot easily pull
up to a pump (especially American-style motor homes or a boat). Then there
is the additional option of removal of the cylinder for filling.
Just like your regular propanebutane gas bottles, not only refillable, but complete with contents
gauge, 80% overfill cut-off protection, over-pressure release valve,
plus the assurance of EU/R67/01
type approval. The same high
level safety standards as required
of LPG automotive conversions.
The savings can be
enormous!
Here you can see that 51+ litres of
LPG, as supplied to a larger tank,
still costs under £20.00, that’
s
enough to fill up five 6 kilo. bottles.
Shown here is our most popular
cylinder which is equivalent to a
10.5 kilo cylinder.
We are also currently developing smaller and more convenient sizes.
As well as the 10.5 Kilo bottle, we also
have the 14.5 kilo bottle [shown on the
right], this unique design holds 50%
more gas and fits into the same area
as the 10.5 kilo bottle. Another bottle
we have under development [shown
on the left] which holds approximately
8 kilos, and is designed to fit into smaller applications where space is at a premium.
Refilling is so easy
With an ever increasing number of
LPG retail filling stations all over the
UK (about 1200 or more in 2005)
and an even higher number in most
European countries, no matter
where you are or where you’
re
going, filling or topping-up your bottle need never be a problem. Quick
bayonet attachment means you can
achieve complete refill in under two
minutes.
All our refillable bottles can be remotely and/or directly filled. Here you can see
the typical style of filler employed at most UK service stations. It’
s a simple bayonet type nozzle and attaches directly to the filler on the bottle or to the remote
filling kit as shown below.
Topping up or completely refilling these unique LPG bottles is just as simple as
filling your car with LPG, and because our bottles have a unique 80% shut-off
valve, there is no possibility of overfilling. All bottles also have a content gauge to
make the task even simpler.
