e 2012 Candy Dance DinnerDance Committee recently announced
tickets are now available for the
Dinner-Dance: “Denim & Diamonds”
scheduled for Saturday, September 29,
from 4:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. e event will
be in Genoa Town Park — south side of
Nixon Street. e dinner-dance gate
and no-host bar opens at 4:30 p.m.
Carson City BBQ, Nevada’s top
award winning barbecue caterer, will
be preparing BBQ pork ribs, BBQ
chicken, tossed green salad, potato
salad, mixed veggies, BBQ bean, and
dinner rolls. Dessert will be provided
by John Ascuaga’s Nugget. And of
course, the tradition continues with
free candy samples for ticket holders.
Entertainers for this year’s dinnerdance will feature Joni Morris and
Cash Only Bands.

time and her lights have not faded. She
is more popular now than ever before
with her heart-breaking melodies of
love lost.
Now, Joni Morris pays her own
special tribute to the Queen of
Country Music and has been playing to
sold out crowds across the country
with her tribute show.
Genoa Candy Dance Arts & Crafts
Faire is pleased to present Joni and her
band on Saturday, September 29, 2012,
in Genoa Town Park.
Pedal steel guitar Hall of Fame
inductee, Mr. Bobby Black, will also be
included in the band as a featured
musical guest during the evening
performance.
e show will begin at 5:30 p.m.

Joni Morris — Patsy Cline Tribute
Founded by front man guitarist
Davin Kangas in 2002, the Cash
Only Band started out as a
Johnny Cash Tribute band and is
a musical interpretation not an
impersonation. Also featured will
be the music of other popular
artists including Willie Nelson,
Merle Haggard, Waylon Jennings,
Kris Kristofferson
erson and David
Allen Coe.
Other band members include South
Lake Tahoe's Nate Alcorn on upright
bass, bringing a western swing and
slap style, and Raybob Bowman on
pedal steel, who has performed for
more than 30 years professionally with
the likes of Naomi and Wynona Judd.
Lowell Wilson is on the keyboard and
synthesizer with his honky-tonk piano
style and rock organ-style sounds,
along with innovative percussion
stylist Tom Parodie on drums.
e ticket price is $28 for adults, $20
for children 12 and under, $20 for
dance only tickets and Diamond
Tables are $50 per person. e
Diamond Tables are reserved with
parking at Genoa and premiere wines
at your table. Diamond Tables are
limited. All dance tickets will be sold in
advance. e deadline to purchase
dinner dance tickets is 4:30 p.m.,
Friday, September 21. Tickets can be
purchased through the Genoa Town
Offices located at 2289 Main Street,
