On Sunday July 1, 2012, at the The Grand Valley Dale
Ballroom, 1590 Sunbury Rd. Columbus, Ohio, the 17-piece
Rick Brunetto Big Band will reprise their Independence
Day Show titled, RED WHITE AND BIG BAND. This spectacular show pays tribute to America from 1776 to
2012 with a Patriotic Musical Salute to Americana, the
Armed Forces and the Forth of July.
Special guest star Deana Martin, daughter of the legendary Dean Martin will sing some exciting new arrangements
including The GI Jive, The House I live In and more.
The Rick Brunetto Big Band highlights a creative variety show with singers and dancers. Patriotic favorites include a stunning setting of America the Beautiful featuring soprano Suzy Biehl, and Lee Greenwood’s God Bless
the USA sung by Michael Phillips. Contemporary music lovers will appreciate Neil
Diamond’s Coming To America sung by Chuck Gillespie. The Big Band will swing
the Glenn Miller classic Bugle Call Rag and tap dancer
Sam Walker will tap to the Cohan favorite Yankee
Doodle Dandy. Gillespie will also narrate the Declaration of Independence set to music in a piece entitled
A Jefferson Portrait. Some Sousa marches and songs
from the Miller Army Air Force band will also be
heard along with a spectacular multi-media presentation.
Rounding out the show will be some swinging dance numbers from the Fred Astaire Westerville dance Studio.
Before the show a buffet supper prepared by the 94th Aero Squadron is offered. After the show stay for two
dance sets featuring big band and contemporary musical arrangements performed by the 17- piece
Rick Brunetto Big Band.
TICKETS: $19.00 for General admission Show Only and Dance Sets,
$43.00 for complete Dinner, Show and Dance Sets.
Doors open at 5:30pm, Dinner served 5:30-7:00,
