2016 Marching Band Performance Guidelines
2016 Marching Band Performance Guidelines In order to ensure that your day goes as smoothly as possible, please take a moment to read the following helpful information. • Performances are on a first-come, first-serve basis. Bands will be allowed into the park shortly after the park opens to the general public that day. All performances are to be done before Noon through September 5 and before 1:00 pm on Saturdays and Sundays September 10 – October 30. • The Marching route is about a 20 minute performance down the main midway. There are two performance spots along the route, however depending on the number of marching bands that day, the number of spots may be reduced or eliminated. • Groups must wear appropriate marching band attire. Formal uniforms are not required however we do ask that your group wears matching/uniform clothes. Changing facilities are not available. WHAT TO DO UPON ARRIVAL AT CEDAR POINT If you have your tickets in hand… • Once the bus is parked at Cedar Point and the band has begun their warm up routine please have a Group Leader call (419) 626-0830 extension 2778 to check-in. The leader will be given further instruction from the operator. • Please reference the Performance in the Park - Marching Band Map for spectator entrance and Band entrance. If you need to pick up or pay for your tickets... • A Group Leader will need to visit the Group Sales Windows. The leader will be able to make any last minute changes to the order, make payment and check in to receive further instruction for the performance. • Please bring your Group Sales order ID number from the e-mail confirmation. SPECIAL NOTES: • As the tickets are issued, we ask that you retain the tickets for the performing members and for the director(s) of the group. After the performance, distribute the tickets to the performers and directors. Each person will present their ticket at the turnstile to gain admission into the park to enjoy the rest of the day. • Non-performing members will not be permitted to enter the park with the performers. You may pass the tickets out to the non-performing group members who will need to present their ticket for admission at the entrance. Once inside the park, they may wait for the band to be escorted into the park for the performance. Sorry, but anyone entering the park will require an admission ticket, regardless of whether they are staying after the performance or not. We are looking forward to another great summer at Cedar Point and are happy that you can be a part of all the fun and excitement. We look forward to a great performance from your band.
