Description of work undertaken
Fabricate and fit Brass Steam Dome, Front Lamp, Control Wheel on Smoke
Box Door, Smoke Box Bracket to replace that missing on LH Side and attach to
Running Plate, new threaded flange to hold the Safety Valve in place.
Test and set the correct PSI of the Safety Valve.
Reposition and affix the boiler in the correct place.
Rust treatment on the Loco and Tender.
Re-attach existing Smoke Box Bracket on RH side to the Running Plate.
Paint and Line in Midland Railway Livery (“Brick” Red, lined Yellow and Black) in
the colours, style and finish of Bing.
Clean and Oil the Mechanism
Re-attach Front Coupling Mounting Bracket
Source and fit missing Tender Buffer.
Hand paint the Gebruder Bing of Nuremberg, Germany Trademark, under the
Cab Fall Plate.
Improve various minor ripples in the plate work.
Post restoration reassembly.
