Concierge Communiqué

Concierge Communiqué
February is here and brings lots of wonderful
things to enjoy – Mardi Gras, crawfish season, the
Super Bowl (even though no Texas teams are
there) and an entire extra day on the calendar.
Yes, it’s a Leap Year, so do something fun on
February 29. It won’t come around again for
another four years.
Speaking of something fun, it’s time to put on
your masks, throw some beads and celebrate all
things Mardi Gras with the 9th Annual Houston Brazilian Carnaval at Hughes Hangar on
February 6; and the 106th Celebration of Mardi Gras! Galveston, going on now through
February 9 in the island city.
Cirque du Soleil’s Toruk flies into the Toyota Center, February 11-14, and offers an
imaginative look at events thousands of years before its inspiration, the film Avatar, was
created. Seating is limited, but contact me for discount pricing and seating options.
And get ready now for the big show coming to town in March – the Houston Livestock
Show & Rodeo. While rodeo/concert tickets aren’t available through the Concierge Desk,
half-price carnival packs, carnival and livestock show admission tickets, BBQ admission
tickets, season passes and discount food cards are available for a limited time. Stock up on
these now before I have to turn them in! If you just can’t wait until March to let your inner
cowboy out, head west to Katy for the 73rd Annual Katy ISD FFA Livestock Show & Rodeo,
February 18-20, at the LD Robinson Pavilion at I-10 and FM 1493, near Katy High School.
It’s great fun and helps to support hard-working agricultural students within the Katy ISD.
