Our school has been fortunate
with some facility improvements
recently. With the purchase of
two new buses this year, we have
upgraded our garage doors for
safer access for vehicles and staff.
completed this year and during the
holidays for early next year.
Pleasant Rd Campus is to have
new play equipment installed on
the oval over the holidays. School
Council has approved the inclusion
of rubber matting as the safety
surface underneath. This will add to
play spaces around Pleasant Rd for
further enjoyment by our students.
We have been informed by DET
that our Condition Assessment
Report has been assessed and that
funds are available to the value of
$214,000 for upgrading facilities at Liz Jenkins
our Manningham Campus. We
are already consulting with DET Business Manager
on plans for these improvements.

Parents Association News
Hi Everyone!
The end of term is almost upon us. The sun is
starting to show its presence again which has
been very nice.
We have been very busy with information
sessions this fortnight. Ieuan gave us the low
down on Anxiety. Simmonne helped some
parents find their way to making life just that
little bit easier with Navigating the Journey. Ieuan
is again leading us through the murky depths of
depression this Friday.
Deputy Police Commissioner Lucinda Nolan
presented an enlightening talk on our cherubs
who abscond and how best we contact the police
when it happens. We don’t need to wait 24hrs
to report them missing, for best results contact
000 immediately with the most accurate details
about them as possible. Some parents even take
morning photos of their children so should they
abscond they can pass on the exact clothing
details to the police. Lucinda has personal
experience in this field is a wealth of knowledge.
We thank her for taking time from her busy
schedule to share her knowledge and experience
with us.
The Fathers Day stall is next Friday at both
campuses. Please send along your childs money
in an envelope or snap lock bag . If you have
any spare plastic bags we would be really
appreciative. We have run short since the slice
drive. If it’s easier for you to remember send
along your child’s money during the week for
your teacher to care for so your kids don’t miss
out on this shopping experience. Most of our gifts
are generic ( are not labelled) so can be used for
any person. Marcel has graciously taken photos
of the gifts for the teachers to make PECS for our
children to help make this shopping experience
less stressful for our children.
Don’t forget to return
your raffle tickets and
money by Thursday .
If anybody is free to help with either Father’s day
stall Or lunch order day please contact
Adele 0407 879 409 Manningham campus or
Natalie 0407 706 410 Pleasant Campus.
( Adele Ganley, Elizabeth Curran, Constable
Nicole Wilson, Deputy Police Commissioner
Lucinda Nolan, Ron O’Dwyer)
Lunch order day is on the last day of term. There
will be a choice of hot dogs, pies and sausage
rolls plus some gluten free options.
The full presentation is a PDF
download available from our website
with one slide in this newsletter.
The video of Lucinda’s presentation
is also viewable for those that missed
out.

This term we were took delivery of
new equipment that was provided from
a grant from the Parents and Friends
Committee.
We gained two large tricycles that were
needed to allow all our students to ride
a bike suited to their size and ability.
The school needs a full range of bikes
ranging from small, medium, large trikes
and two wheel bikes to cater for all our
students of different ability and size.
The school also gained 10 pieces of
new gymnastic equipment which included

new mats and various foam shapes.
This greatly enhances the enthusiasm
and challenges that we can give the
students and allows us to have various
circuits of activity that encourage basic
movement skills.
Thanks to the Parents and Friends from
the PE staff and all the students.
