Refill Instructions: Epson OEM C84, C86, C88, R200, R300, R800, R1800, R2400 Cartridges Refill kit for OEM Epson Single Color Cartridges (Cartridge Not Included) The MIS Epson single color refill kit is designed to refill Epson OEM cartridges for the C84/C86/C88/R200/R300/R800/R1800/R2400 series printers. This kit will allow these cartridges to be refilled with MIS Epson Compatible inks, which are designed to be a direct replacement for OEM Epson ink. Before refilling a cartridge it is recommended that you prepare a flat work surface with newspaper to absorb any spills. Refill: 1. Locate the Fill Port on the bottom of the cartridge. Note that the Fill Port will be covered with plastic if the cartridge has not been refilled before. Note: There are two covered holes on the bottom of the cartridge. The Fill Port is the hole closest to the Exit Port. If this is the first time that the cartridge is being filled you will need to install a Fill Adapter. This adapter is simply pushed through the thin plastic material that covers the Fill Port. When the Fill Adapter is properly installed it will be flush with the bottom of the ink cartridge. 3. Locate the Fill Syringe (The syringe with the tapered end not the barbed end). Carefully fill the Fill Syringe with 12ml of the ink for the printer cartridge that you are refilling. It is important to be sure that you have selected the correct color ink for the printer cartridge that you are working on, as the wrong color ink will ruin the cartridge. Reseal the bottle after filling the Fill Syringe to avoid knocking over the bottle during the fill process. Carefully push the Fill Syringe into the Fill Adapter ensuring that you have a tight fit to prevent leaks. 5. Ensure that the plunger on the Waste Syringe is all of the way down. Connect the Waste Syringe to the cartridge’s Exit Port. 6. While holding the Waste Syringe firmly into the cartridge Exit Port, slowly depress the plunger of the Fill Syringe that is installed in the Fill Adapter. a. It may feel like nothing is happening, but it can take up to a minute to fully deplete the syringe. As the ink is pushed into the cartridge, ink and air will be pushed out of the cartridge and into the Waste Syringe that is installed in the Cartridge’s Exit Port. 7. Once all of the ink has been injected into the cartridge both the Fill Syringe and Waste Syringe can be removed from the cartridge. Carefully install the Black Ball that was included with your kit into the Fill Adapter as shown in the picture. This ball can be carefully removed with a needle in the future for easy refilling. 9. Use a SK168 Chip Resetter to reset the chip on your refilled cartridge so that it reports full to the printer.
