We have told many friends and colleagues about our wonderful experience.” Dr. E., Ithaca FAQs What is cruising on Skaneateles Lake like? Skaneateles is arguably the most beautiful of the Finger Lakes with its gracious village and lovely shoreline. You’ll cruise by serene parks, historic sites, fine homes and fun cottages. What is cruising on the Erie Canal like? Picture a relaxed river cruise meandering past woodland, parks and neighborhoods. You’ll see historic sites, wildlife and a variety of other vessels sharing the legendary waterway. Is there entertainment? Each cruise is normally narrated by your knowledgeable captain. We can also accommodate your DJ or small band, though this might reduce seating capacity. Each boat has an iPod dock and a PA system with cordless microphone. Is there a bar on board? Each boat has standard bar service including locally produced wine and hard cider and premium beer. We can offer drinks on a cash or consumption basis, or even a mixed plan. All alcoholic beverages must be purchased through us. Requests for special items can typically be accommodated. You may bring wine, subject to our corkage fee. Can we decorate the boat? We will do our best to allow you access to the boat to decorate. Please keep in mind that you must un-decorate before you leave. Banners and flags are allowed. We discourage balloons and other things that can blow around. We recommend small, low table decorations and can provide colored linen if you like (there is a fee). We do not allow open flame, glitter, seeds or confetti on the boats. Can you help us find other services? We’ve been doing this for over 45 years. We’ve worked with many local florists, bakers, musicians and lodging venues and would be happy to introduce you to our trusted colleagues. Who prepares your meals? We have a full kitchen located in our Skaneateles facility. We offer a selection of dinner, lunch and hot/cold hors d’oeuvres including vegetarian choices. You may also provide your own caterer. Can the Captain perform a wedding ceremony? One of our captains is licensed in New York to perform weddings! Talk to Gail to get started! Reach her at 315-685-8500 or [email protected]. Her experience makes the planning easy and ensures a quality cruise for your guests!
