POST COLLEGE BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT
BRACKET GUIDELINES 2013
1. Beginning late February 2013, the
CARES team will create a private group
through yahoo.com’s fantasy sports for
Post Uptown residents interested in
participating in the Yahoo! Tournament
Pick’em.
2. The contest will open after the teams
for the tournament are announced,
Sunday, March 17, 2013.
3. A bracket can be submitted before
tip-off of either the first game of the
tournament, March 19, 2013 OR the
first game of the second round of
the tournament, March 21, 2013. This
information will be available in late
February, when Yahoo! opens up the
Tournament Pick’em.
4 . Any Post resident wanting to
participate must have a Yahoo!, Google,
or Facebook account in order to join
the group. The Group ID number and
password will be placed on the March
flyers and be sent in the monthly
e-mail. Entry into the group is free, only
limited to having residency in a Post
Uptown Dallas property. There is also
a limit of 500 people who will be able
to join the group; these boundaries are
predetermined by Yahoo!.
5. A resident is allowed to change his/her
bracket up until tip-off of either the first
game of the tournament or the first game
of the second round. There is a limit of
one bracket per person.
6. The winner of the Bracket Challenge
will be rewarded $200 in rent concession
for the month of May. He or she must be
a Post Uptown Dallas resident through
May 2013 in order to win.
7. Scoring will follow Yahoo!’s default
system laid out in the table below.
(Yahoo! will automatically assign these
points to the bracket.) The bracket which
receives the most points will be declared
the winner. In the event of a tie for the
most number of points, there will be a
random drawing to select the winning
bracket.
8. On April 9, 2013, the CARES team
will contact the person with the winning
bracket. This information will verified by
Post prior to announcing the winner. If
the information cannot be verified, the
bracket with the next number of points
will be declared the winner. If there is a
tie between multiple people, a drawing
will be held to the determine the winner.
Once notified, the winner has 10 days to
contact the leasing office to receive the
rent concession.
