elegates to AAAE’s 2016 F. Russell Hoyt National Airports
Conference (NAC) will gather in Orlando, Florida, October 2-4 to
discuss timely topics, engage in important networking events, and
participate in debates over the future direction of the nation’s aviation
industry. The 2016 NAC, hosted by Orlando International Airport, will focus on
steps the industry can take to create strategies that work in today’s and
tomorrow’s aviation marketplace.
This signature AAAE event will begin on Sunday, October 2, with two networking
receptions: one for newcomers to AAAE and/or the NAC, followed by a reception
for all delegates, newcomers and veterans alike. These introductory gatherings
will allow delegates to meet their colleagues in an informal setting and will set
the tone for the two days of discussions that will follow.
The NAC will conclude on Tuesday, October 4, at 5 p.m. with the popular Carter
Cash drawing for $100 bills. You must stay throughout the afternoon on Tuesday
to be eligible to win a $100 prize.
A tour of the Orlando International Airport led by airport officials will take place
Wednesday, October 5, beginning at 9 a.m. Transportation will be provided. Space
on the airport tour is limited, so sign up now.

of F. Russell Hoyt, A.A.E., who led AAAE from 1959
until his retirement in 1983. Even after his formal
retirement, Russ remained active in the profession
and in AAAE until his death. It is fitting that we

National Airports Conference in Orlando, Florida.
This one-day workshop will assist candidates in completing the
accreditation program and teach them how to better prepare for the final
interview. The workshop will give candidates a firm understanding of
what executives are looking for during these interviews.

On October 1-2, AAAE will join forces again with Airport Business
Solutions to provide a comprehensive and thorough introduction to the
business of airport management. This workshop will focus on managing
non-airline related business functions at airports. The Essentials of
Airport Business Management Workshop will provide attendees with
an overview of property and business management issues confronting
airports of any size.
Management at any level at small, medium and large hub airports,
as well as general aviation airport facilities, will find the workshop

NOTE: AAAE reserves the right to cancel this program if the number of registrants is insufficient. In this event, we will notify
all registrants and refund the registration fee in full. However, any costs incurred by the registrant, such as hotel cancellation
or airline penalties, are the responsibility of the registrant. Confirmation letters will be emailed to attendees within two weeks
of receipt of registration. If you have not received a confirmation letter via email two business days prior to the meeting,
and you enrolled at least two weeks prior to the meeting, please contact the AAAE Meetings Department at 703-824-0504.
Non-receipt of the confirmation letter before the meeting is not justification for seeking a refund. If you are a AAAE Academic
Member or U.S. federal government employee, email [email protected] for potentially discounted registration fees.
Method of Payment
Registrations and cancellations must be submitted in writing. Cancellation
requests received before September 16, 2016, are subject to a $125 processing fee and will be processed after the meeting takes place. There will be no
refunds after this date. Substitutions will be accepted without penalties and
