The Auburn Softball Complex, located off Interstate 85 on Hwy. 29, was built in 1992 by the
City of Auburn in an effort to provide the citizens of Auburn a state-of-the-art recreational
facility for softball. The Auburn Softball Complex staff strives to ensure that visitors enjoy the
finest championship playing facilities. A strong emphasis is placed on expert organization
and genuine Southern hospitality.
The Complex has been recognized as one of the premier complexes in the nation by USA
Softball Magazine and has been awarded the 1999, 2001, 2005, 2006, 2008, and 2010
Alabama ASA Complex of the Year Award. Since its opening in 1993, the Complex has
hosted more than 19 ASA National Championships. The Complex was also the home of the
1997 and 1998 Auburn University Women's Fast Pitch team and hosted a number of SEC
games.
The Complex boasts a three story control building that is surrounded by five fields that
feature Bermuda grass outfields, 300 ft. fences, skinned infields and Hollywood bases. In
addition, each field is equipped with a warning track, championship lighting and a public
address system. All dugouts are covered and feature phones to the press box. The control
building is complete with spacious clean restrooms and full concessions on the ground floor.
The second floor contains complex offices, a conference room, and a rest area for umpires.
The third floor contains scorekeeper booths and press box capabilities.
Families and fans visiting the Auburn Softball Complex can take advantage of our many
picnic areas. Children also have the opportunity to enjoy our fun playground, which is
located next to the control building. Bleachers with a seating capacity of over 200 are
found adjacent to each field. Whether you find yourself at the Auburn Softball Complex to
play or watch a great game, you will be impressed with the facilities found only in the city
known as “the Loveliest Village on the Plains.”
