The same way, an insufficient quan ty of detergent produces an ineffe ve wash. Use the detergent quan ty indicated by your washer. WATER LEVEL T-Shirt DETERGENT DRAIN HOSE CONNECTION It’s important that the drain hose isn’t folded or has a bad pos on for water exit, in order to avoid any of these problems, see the following images which show its correct installa n. CLOTHES LOAD Connect the clamp to the hose which prevents water spilling. Then connect the hose’s joint inside the pump exit as shown in the drawing. 3 In the back of the washer you will nd the pump exit. Also, you must be specially careful not to install the drain hose´s outlet at a height below 90 cen eters. Max. height 1.2 meters Min. height 90 cm Bath towel Face towel Table Cloth 1 meter 10 INSTALLATION WATER INLET 23 INSTALLATION OF THE COLD AND HOT WATER SUPPLY HOSE WATER INLET CLEANING Connect the elbow end of the water supply hose to water inlet of the washing machine and the straight side to the main supply faucets. In case you note that the water flow decreases significantly in your washer, and it’s not due to a lack of pressure (verify with one of your faucets) and if your washer’s flow is much lower, clean the water inlet because it means that something is obstruc ng it. In the rear part of the washer, there are two water inlets, clean the water inlet crea ng the problem. 2. With a pair of pliers remove the water filter. 3. Use a tooth brush to remove the dirt from the filter. IMPORTANT NOTICE If the lint filter is damaged, a new one can be bought from the authorized technical service. In case that there´s only one faucet in your home in the place where you’re installing the washing machine, verify that this is for cold water and connect it to the inlet that says COLD, otherwise you’re washer will indicate an error and will not work, because your washer only performs rinsing with cold water. Note 1: for appliances connected to the water mains through removable hoses, you must use the new hoses supplied with the appliance. Used hoses must not be used. Note 2: Your washer possess a red cap for the hot water inlet. This cap must be removed when the hose is connected to the hot water so it can func on, otherwise, keep the cap in place. PREVIOUS CHECK - INTRODUCTION 03 30 TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE WHAT TO DO WHEN THERE IS NOISE IN THE WASHER? If the clothes pile up on one side and the washing/spinning tub is unbalanced, you must distribute the clothes uniformly and remember that when spinning begins, it’s normal to hear a small bump. WHAT TO DO WHEN THERE’S A WATER LEAK? Make sure that the clamp is well adjusted to the drain hose, otherwise, adjust it manually to avoid leakage (page 9). THERE’S A BURNING SMELL COMING OUT OF THE WASHER Don’t worry, it’s normal that during the first use , the washer produces a certain varnish smell from the motor. This will stop er a few uses. THE WASHER’S DRUM HAS LOWERED It is normal for the tub to lower because of the load and water weight. THERE’S WATER SPILLING Verify that the drain hose is at the correct height (page 9). WASHING EXCEEDS THE HIGH LEVEL OF WATER This is normal, it recovers its level and starts washing. Otherwise, if it con nues spilling water permanently, call for SERVICE. PACKAGING Before using your washer you must remove all the elements of packaging: plas bag, expanded polystyrene which holds the tub and specially the Base of polystyrene that lies beneath your washer, shown in grey in the following drawing. Not removing these units will 04 PRODUCT DESCRIPTION COLD ERRORS 29 HOT The washer doesn’t work Water supply Error IMPORTANT NOTE: Verify that the end of the drain hose fits correctly in the end of the hose We recommend to close the cold and hot water faucets er using the washer and disconnect the washer from the power supply. Press ON/OFF Press START/PAUSE Check if the washing /spinning tub has the necessary quan ty of water Verify that the Delay Start isn’t ac vated Check if the feeding cord is firmly plugged Check if there’s any power failure Check if the circuit breaker or fuse have been ac vated Open the water supply faucet Check if the water supply has been cut (open the water faucets). Check If the electrovalves’ filter is blocked. Spilling Error Close the water supply faucet immediately Disconnect the washing machine from the power supply Call for Service Drain fun on Error Check if there’s any problem in the drain hose. Check if the drain hose is blocked by lint Make sure that drain hose is within the minimum and maximum height limits. Call for Service. Spin fun on Error Make sure the lid of the washing machine is closed Check if the washing load is uniformly distributed. Check if the washer is on a leveled surface If this error appears during a spin only func n, readjust the Clothes load and press the START/PAUSE bu on twice. By spin only, understand the process of only one spin chosen manually by the user of the appliance. PREPARATION 11 22 LINT FILTER CLEANING OF THE LINT FILTER 1. REMOVAL : Press and pull the lid of the lint filter in the direc on indicated by the arrow, just as shown in image N° 1. 2. CLEANING: open the lint filter contained in the filter cover in the direc on indicated by the arrow shown in image N° 2. Then with plas c bristle brush and under a water stream, proceed to clean the fabric remains adhered to the filter er each wash. 3. CHANGE: remove the filter frame from the filter lid, releasing it from both lower hooks, as shown in image N° 3 ELECTRIC CONNECTION The washer must be grounded, to do this please make sure that the plug has three legs, if not the user could receive an electric discharge in case of isola on failure. For the same reason DO NOT use two-legged extensions without ground connec on. You must use only one Plug in the connec n Do Not use extension leads or mul ple connectors with your washer IMPORTANT NOTE l NOTE 3: “If the feeding cable is damaged, it must be subs tuted by a cable post-sale service”. Do not connect the washer near gas pipes. Do not change the plug of the washer. Manufacturer will not be made responsible for problems occurred for not complying with the power connec on norm. SOFTENER DISPENSER 21 12 NORMAL PROGRAM USE OF THE NORMAL PROGRAM HOW TO USE THE SOFTENER DISPENSER Before star ng the washing opera on, slowly pour the so ener in the dispenser in the place indicated in the washer’s tub. 1. Place the washing load inside the washer (remember t o check pockets and separate the white clothes from the color clothes, according to fabric and soil level.) 2. To start Press the ON/OFF bu on 3. Place detergent inside the dispenser (detergent table on page 24), close the lid. 4. Press the START/PAUSE bu on. The washer will start automa cally to the selected water level and will con nue with the washing program. In general follow the instruc ons contained in the so ener’s container. SOFTENER VOLUME Normal type: 20 ml of so ener per 30 liters of water. Concentrated type: 6.6 ml of so ener per 30 liters of water. SOFTENER DISPENSER OPEN OPEN SOFTENER Func ons and mes for the NORMAL program, (this program comes by default when you turn on the washer. Program Normal Wash 10 to 25 Min Rinse Rinse is performed twice and saves water Spin By default The normal program spins 14 min in Normal Dry with which your clothes will have less creases at the end and a lower humidity percentage. IMPORTANT NOTE Do not pour the so ener directly inside the washer because you could seriously damage the clothes inside. PRODUCT DESCRIPTION 05 28 PRECAUTIONS Your washing machine has been manufactured for domes c use. As a safety measure, it incorporates a protec on electronic system which acts by stopping the tub’s rota on when the washer’s lid is open, despite the washing process in ac on, if this safety system doesn’t act, turn off the washer immediately and call the technical service. If during the spinning process, the washing tub does not stop in 15 seconds a er opening the lid, turn the washer off immediately and call technical service. Do not introduce your hands inside the washer when it’s opera ng. Wait un l it stops. Do not leave detergents at the reach of children. You must not leave or use flammable liquids (solvents for dry washing, kerosene, gasoline, or others) on top of the washer. Do not add flammable liquids to the water in your washer. These substances release vapors that could cause fire or dangerous explosions. Do not tamper the control panel. Allow only qualified personnel to install, repair or change units in your washer. Keep your washer in op al condi ons. Protect the washer from weather condi ons and keep it in a place with moderate temperature. Do not install the washer in humid place. Do not use abrasive detergents to clean the glass. Connect the washer to an appropriate power source. Place the washer on a flat surface. Do not wash clothes stained with vegetable or cooking oil because it could remain a er washing, and the fabric will be smoked and could burn on its own. Do not use chlorine, ammonia acids (such as vinegars, or oxide removal) in the same wash. They may cause dangerous gases or vapors. Do not install the washer under boilers or any other appliance that produces heat or flame for it could damage the plas c parts. This washer is not made to be used by people (including children) whose physical, or sensi ve or mental capaci es are reduced, or lack experience knowledge, unless they have supervision or instruc ons concerning its use by someone responsible for their safety. Children must be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the washer. IMPORTANT NOTE: Do not wash glass fiber material because small par cles could remain inside and then introduce themselves in the following loads and cause skin reac ons. Do not use hot water exceeding 60°C (140°F) for it could deform plas c units. Do not spray water in the control panel or back lid of the washer. It could cause fire or power cut. Hot water outlet Cold water outlet Hot water inlet Cold water inlet Spin tub Lint filter Impeller Washer Lid Detergent dispenser So ener dispenser Liquid detergent and bleach inlet Control panel Cabinet Washer Recess Adjustable feet Drain hose Feeding hose Hose support Drain hose clamp Hot water plug STAIN REMOVAL 27 06 WASHER’S PANEL GUIDE FOR STAIN REMOVAL TEMPERATURE BUTTON This bu on lets you select from 3 different types of washing temperature : Hot, Cold, Warm RINSE BUTTON This bu on lets you select the type of rinsing you wish for your clothes: Normal rinse and hypoallergenic to eliminate any rest of detergent from your clothes Blood Chewing gum Cocoa, chocolate Co Cream, mi k, ice cream Deodorant Egg Softener Fruit stains Grease and oil WATER LEVEL BUTTON This bu on lets you select the appropriate water level in accordance to load weight and type of fabric to wash. There are 6 levels (the fuzzy system selects the water level automa cally according to the quan ty of clothes it detects.) WASHING LEVEL BUTTON This bu on lets you select the washing me: 15 min for a medium level of soil, 25 min ideal for a highly soiled level and 10 min for low soil level. Rinse immediately in cold water. If stain remains, wash it with cold water using detergent. Use ice in a plas c bag to harden the chewing gum. Remove it up and then you can use a sponge with alcohol. Use a bag with cold water and rinse with detergent. If stain persists, soak in detergent and rinse with cold water. Dry quickly and rinse with cold water. Rub with a li le detergent and rinse at the highest temperature the fabric resists. Rinse with cold water and wash normally. If the stain remains, use a sponge with alcohol. Rub the affected area with white vinegar, then rinse under running cold water. Use a sponge with alcohol. Treat hard areas with chemical products. Soak with detergent, rinse and wash normally. Rub the affected area with a soap bar and wash normally. Treat them as soon as possible with a sponge immersed in cold water. Rub with a li le detergent and wash normally. Put the affected area facing down on an absorbing cloth; treat the stain from the back side. Use a sponge with alcohol or dry it with cleaning fluid. Wash normally. Rust Apply lemon juice and salt, exposing the garment in the sun. Wash normally. Lipstick Mold Use sponge with denatured alcohol and wash normally. Wash with warm water and detergent. Soak the affected area with lemon juice, expose to the sun, let it dry and wash normally. If the stain persists, use bleach as long as the fabrics allows it. Mud Brush off the stuck mud. Rinse with cold water. If the stain persists rub with a li le detergent and wash normally. Damp a towel with hydrogen peroxide and apply it to the affected area, iron at moderate temperature. Treat the stain while wet. Rinse with warm water and wash normally. Burn marks Oil-based paint BLANKET PROGRAM 13 20 CHILD LOCK This op on prevents that during opera on of the machine; someone stops or deprograms your washer accidentally. For this effect, when using this feature all the bu ons on the control panel are locked except for the ON / OFF bu on. The child lock func on is released only in the following cases: When pressing the ON / OFF bu on or when disconnec ng the washer plug. To ac vate the child lock, press for 5 seconds the Programs bu on together with the START/PAUSE bu on un l the light child lock turns on (to unlock repeat the same procedure). This op on should be used er selec ng a washing process and er pressing the START / PAUSE bu on. HOW TO ELIMINATE THE SOUND OF YOUR WASHER USE OF THE BEDDING PROGRAM WITH FUZZY SYSTEM 1. Place the wash load in the washer (remember to check the pockets and separate the whites and colour, depending on the fabric.) 2. To start, press the POWER ON/OFF bu on. 3. Press this bu on once to select the BEDDING program. 1. To start press the ON/OFF bu on. 2. Press the START/PAUSE bu on for 5 seconds to deac vate the sound of the washer alarm. To ac vate use the same procedure. WASH AND SOAK PROGRAMS USE OF THE NORMAL + SOAK PROGRAM 4. Fill the compartment with detergent (see detergent table in page 24), then close the lid. 5. Press the START/PAUSE bu on. The machine will autom ly begin to select the water level and will con nue with the wash program. This program allows you to execute washing with the Normal program incorpora g a previous soak of one hour long. USE OF THE BEDDING + SOAK PROGRAM This program allows you to wash with the BEDDING program incorpora g a soak of one hour long. To use it, press the PROGRAM bu on un l the leds BEDDING and SOAK turn on simultaneously, and then press the START/PAUSE bu on to begin the selected program. Program BEDDING Wash 10 to 22 Min. Rinse Rinse is carried out twice and saves water. Spin By default the Bedding program spin for 14 min. at Normal Dry, so your clothes at the end will have fewer creases and will be less wet. 14 DELICATES PROGRAM DEFERRED PROGRAM 19 WHAT IS DELAY START AND HOW TO USE IT USE OF THE DELICATES PROGRAM 1. Place the washing load inside the washer (remember To check pockets and separate the white clothes from the color clothes, according to fabric and soil level. ) 2. To start Press the ON/OFF bu on 3. Press twice to select the delicate program 3. 4. Program DELICATES With Deferred Wash you can choose the end me of your washing process. Timing may be selected from 2 to 24 hours. TIME INDICATIONS FOR DELAY START Place detergent inside the dispenser (detergent table on page 24), close the lid. In your washer’s panel, you can see the me pertaining to delay start when this indicator turns the red light on (dot located above each number) on the le side means they are hours. Press the START/PAUSE bu on. The washer will start automa cally to select the water level and will con nue with the washing program. Wash 10 min Rinse Rinse is performed twice and saves water Spin By default The normal program spins 14 min in normal dry with which your clothes will have less creases at the end and a lower humidity percentage. Hour and minutes indicator 26 STAIN REMOVAL WASHER PANEL 07 START/PAUSE BUTTON If you are planning not to use your washer for an extended period of or during vaca ons, you should: Disconnect the washer. Cut the helps avoid water supply at both hoses. This recommenda accidental flooding (in case of an increase of water pressure) while you are away. SPIN BUTTON This button lets you select the type of spinning you need for your clothes : 7 min, Anti-Creasing, 14 min of Normal drying, and a single spin cycle, Air Dry with a maximum of 60 min. After pressing the ON/OFF button , this button starts the washing operation. To use the Normal program, just press this button and the machine will start the program with the FUZZY System. This button can also be used to temporarily stop the operation of the washer. IMPORTANT NOTE RULES FOR STAIN REMOVAL In order to obtain be er results, we recommend you to wash or soak clothes with stains, excessive dirt or grease marks, beforehand. Soaking removes stains of blood, milk or grease. Use warm water to rinse or wash stained garments. Hot water can fix the stain. Before removing any type of stain, make sure what stain it is, the kind of fabric and whether it loses colour or dyes (check the label). ON/OFF BUTTON Washing and drying may fix some types of stains. It is easier to remove most stains when they are fresh. Old or hardened stains will probably not be eliminated. If is recommended to use bleach, use one that does not destroy fabrics. If you use stain removers, place the stained garment facing downwards on a paper or white cloth. Apply stain remover to the back of the stain to remove it. DEFERRED WASH This button lets you set the number of hours that will end the program FUZZY PROGRAM BUTTON This button lets you select the washer’s operation. Among the washing options, you will nd Normal, Bedding Quick, Wash Delicate, Express and Soak which will vary according to the kind of washing your clothes requires. Turns the washer On and O CHILD LOCK This option should be used after selecting a washing process and after pressing the Start / Pause button. Press simultaneously Program + Start / Pause for 5 seconds to lock the washer. To unlock it use the same procedure. 08 INSTALLATION BLEACH USE 25 LOCATION OF THE WASHER Check the loca on where the washing machine will be installed. Make sure you have everything necessary for correct installa on. To install your washer select a dry place, avoiding plas c parts from exposure to direct sunlight. POSITIONING You must level your machine as follows: Machine should be placed on an even and firm floor, free of curves or holes, resistant and that will not move or crumble. Ideal floors are made of concrete, wood and es. Otherwise your washer will not work well. IMPORTANT NOTE Do not install your washer on a carpeted floor, since the carpet may obstruct the ven a on of the motor or produce hea ng of the same. Do not install under boilers. HOW TO LEVEL YOUR MACHINE Adjust the height of the Adjustable legs of your washer by turning the rollers shown in fig, 1, depending on the floor where it will be installed and making sure that the four machine feet are firmly on the floor. You can verify it by looking from above to check if the drum is centred. Fi 1. PLASTIC ROLLER AND ADJUSTABLE WITH RUBBER BASE There must be a minimum of 4 cm apart on each side of the washer. If your washer is not leveled, it will NOT operate correctly. HOW TO USE THE BLEACH INLET Liquid Bleach Dilute the bleach in double quan ty of water and pour it in the bleach inlet on the top of the washer during the water supply in the washing process. Powder Bleach Pour the bleach and the detergent into the wash/spin tub at the same me. Like soap powder it does not dilute as well as the concentrated detergent, it may be necessary to repeat the rinsing process. If you put too much soap powder or water temperature is low, the undissolved soap may s ck to the inside of the wash / spin tub. Do not use chlorine products to wash. CHLORINE NOTE: Do not pour bleach directly into the washing machine nor on your clothes as they will be damaged. Read and follow all instruc ons and warnings on the bleach container, carefully. Do not use bleach on coloured fabrics. Do not pour bleach directly onto the load, for garments can change colour. A er adding bleach, rinse the bleach inlet with water. SPIN ONLY - RINSE ONLY 17 16 SINGLE WASH HOW TO PERFORM WASH ONLY 1. Place the washing load inside the washer (remember t o check pockets and separate the white clothes from the color clothes, according to fabric and soil level.) 2. To start Press the ON/OFF bu on 3. Press the rinse bu on twice. Verify that the rinse light goes off. 4. Press the spin bu on once. Verify that the spin light goes off. 5. Place detergent inside the dispenser (detergent table on page 24), close the lid. 6. Press the START/PAUSE bu on. The washer will start automa cally to the selected water level and will con nue with the washing program. HOW TO PERFORM SPIN ONLY 1. To start Press the ON/OFF bu on 2. Press the wash bu on twice. Verify that the wash light goes off. 3. Press the rinse bu on twice. Verify that the rinse light goes off. 4. Press the START/PAUSE bu on. The washer will automa cally start spinning. HOW TO PERFORM RINSE ONLY 1. Place the washing load inside the washer (remember to check pockets and separate the white clothes from the color clothes, according to fabric and soil level.) 2. To start Press the ON/OFF bu on 3. Press the wash bu on twice. Verify that the wash light goes off. 4. Press the spin bu on once. Verify that the spin light goes off. 5. Press the START/PAUSE bu on. The washer will automa cally select water level N° 6 and will con nue with the rinse program. ADDITIONAL RINSE 15 18 DELAY START STEPS TO PERFORM A DELAY START 1. Place the washing load inside the washer. 2. To start Press the ON/OFF bu on 3. Press un l you have selected the program with which you wish to wash 4. Place detergent inside the dispenser (detergent table on page 24), close the lid. 5. 6. Select the me op on for your deferred wash. This op on will allow you to choose the end me of your wash. Hours are indicated on the display. Press the START/PAUSE bu on. The washer will start automa cally to select the water level and will con nue with the washing program. NORMAL AND HYPOALLERGENIC RINSE 1. Place the washing load inside the washer (remember To check pockets and separate the white clothes from the color clothes, according to fabric and soil level.) 2. To start Press the ON/OFF bu on 3. To perform an hypoallergenic rinse and eliminate any chance of residues, press the RINSE bu on once. 4. Place detergent inside the dispenser (detergent table on page 24), close the lid. 6. Press the START/PAUSE bu on. The washer will start automa cally to select the water level and will con nue with the washing program.
