PROS AND CONS OF TAKING AN ONLINE TEFL COURSE

The tuition fee is less than a four week full-time course.

You do not have to travel.
Cons

For 90% of all jobs, you will be asked to attend a final, face-to-face interview.
You will have to pay for yourself to travel and stay in the country.

When you travel to a country for the face-to-face interview, there is no
guarantee of a job offer. You may find that you do not like the job on offer.

Quality schools offering good pay and conditions do not like online certificates because they consider them to be inferior to four week full-time TEFL/
TESOL certificates.

It will take anywhere from one to three months before you find a job abroad
with a school that is willing to accept your online TEFL certificate.
