Welcome to Tacoma City Ballet’s The Nutcracker & The Tale of the Hard Nut.
In 2014-2015, Tacoma City Ballet celebrates our 59th anniversary and the 31st
Nutcracker in the Pantages Theater.
Last season, Tacoma City Ballet was the first in the world to present The Tale
of The Hard Nut joined with The Nutcracker creating the comprehensive story
that completed the ballet choreographed by M. Petipa in 1892. Following in the
tradition of the paragons of classical ballet, Swan Lake (1877) and The Sleeping
Beauty (1890), the addition of The Tale of The Hard Nut converted our beloved
The Nutcracker into a three-act, full-length, classical ballet.
Because Tacoma City Ballet’s The Nutcracker historically replicates the original
production premiered in St. Petersburg, Russia in 1892, in choreographing The
Tale of The Hard Nut and attaching it to our production, I felt it was imperative
to incorporate all three components from which the libretto of the original
ballet had been extrapolated. Although The Nutcracker finds its origin in E.T.A.
Hoffman’s Nutcracker and Mouse King written in 1816, it is from the revision,
written by Alexandre Dumas in 1845, The Tale of The Nutcracker, that M. Petipa
created the libretto of the world’s favorite ballet.
This season, Tacoma City Ballet is very proud to rekindle our twenty-one
year artistic relationship and perform with the Tacoma Symphony Orchestra under
the direction of Maestra Sarah Ioannides. I wish to thank Tacoma City Ballet’s
Artistic Staff, Scenery and Costume Artisans, Lighting Designer, the Stage
Crew of I.A.T.S.E. Local #15 and Tacoma City Ballet’s Snow Chorus under the
direction of Despina Alatsis.

The Tale Of The Hard Nut
(The Prequel)
In the Marzipan Palace of the Sugar Plum
Kingdom, lived the King, his Queen, and
their beautiful little daughter, Princess Pirlipat.
“Indeed, there was no denying that no more
beautiful child than Princess Pirlipat had been
born since the dawn of time.” To show the
Sugar Plum Kingdom had no lack of gold or
silver, the King decided to give a Royal Feast.
He invited Crown Princes and Princesses from
exotic foreign lands, and asked the Queen to
prepare his favorite meal, sausage. The Queen
summoned the Royal Pearl-Headed Pages
who brought all the accouterments for the
Royal Feast. Upon seeing that all was in order,
the King stirred the Golden Sausage Cauldron
with his Golden Scepter, and returned to the
Privy Council.
As the Queen continued to prepare for
the Royal Feast, the Queen of the Land of
Mousolia, known as the Mouse Queen or
Frau Mouserink, entered the Royal Kitchen
and begged the Queen for a morsel of
sausage. The Queen’s heart was so good that
she could not refuse. Seeing the Golden
Cauldron filled with delicious sausage, the
Mouse Queen quickly summoned her sons,
the Seven Mouse Princes, who raided the
Royal Kitchen and chased the terrified
Queen away. At the command of the Mouse
Queen, the Seven Mouse Princes stole the
Golden Sausage Cauldron.
When the hour arrived for the Royal
Feast, the Queen still had not had the heart to
tell the King that the Mouse Queen and her
Seven Mouse Princes had stolen most of the
sausage. The King and Queen processed into
the Marzipan Palace followed by their Royal
Guests the Crown Princes and Princesses
of Spain, Arabia, China and Russia. Still
in blissful ignorance, the King was having
a wonderful time dancing with the Royal
Guests until the Royal Jester entered carrying
the Golden Sausage Platter. The King, who
was expecting a heaping dish of sausage for all
his Royal Guests, found only one sausage on
the platter. Humiliated in front of his guests,
the King’s face blushed red. He angrily turned
to the Queen and demanded an explanation.
In a tearful voice, the Queen told the King
what the Mouse Queen and her Seven
Mouse Princes had done. Consumed with
rage, the King vowed to rid the Marzipan
Palace of the thieving rodents forever. He
sent for the Royal Clockmaker and Adept
Court Magician, Christian Elias Drosselmeyer,
and the Royal Astronomer, who was the
King’s Secret Diviner and Stargazer. After
accepting the apologies of the King and
Queen, the Crown Princes and Princesses
took their leave for there would be no
Royal Feast. Herr Drosselmeyer and the
Royal Astronomer rushed to the King’s
side and listened to the Queen tell the
horrible tale. The King instructed them to
catch and shamefully execute the Mouse
Queen, the Seven Mouse Princes, and
every other rat in the Marzipan Palace.
Herr Drosselmeyer promised the King
that he would immediately do so.
That night when the Marzipan Palace
was at its darkest, the Mouse Queen
sneaked out looking for more sausage, and
saw Herr Drosselmeyer and the Royal
Astronomer setting the Royal Mousetrap.
Far too wise to be caught, she scurried off
to warn the Seven Mouse Princes about
Herr Drosselmeyer’s deadly invention.
Unfortunately, they did not heed the
Mouse Queen’s warning. Unable to resist
the beckoning smell of sausage, they were
easily lured into the evil device, trapped
by a suddenly dropping gate, led away and
shamefully executed. When the Mouse
Queen saw her precious Seven Mouse
Princes led away in chains by the Royal
Astronomer, she became furious and vowed
to “chew Little Princess Pirlipat in half.”
To guard Princess Pirlipat from the
Mouse Queen, Herr Drosselmeyer
summoned Mr. and Mrs. Tomcat Purr.
Unfortunately, like most cats, they
soon fell fast asleep on the laps of the
Royal Nursemaids. At midnight, while
the Marzipan Palace was fast asleep,
the Mouse Queen crept into Princess
Pirlipat’s Royal Chamber, jumped into
her Royal Bed, and bit her. Awakened by
Princess Pirlipat’s shrieks, Mr. and Mrs.
Tomcat Purr chased after the Mouse
Queen, but she escaped. The King and
Queen rushed into Princess Pirlipat’s
Royal Chamber only to see that their
beautiful little daughter had been turned
into a hideous monster “with a thick,
deformed head…green, gaping, gawking
eyes, and little lips pulled from one ear
to the other…the ugliness of the face
was increased by a white cotton beard
around the mouth and chin.” The “Curse
of Ugliness” had befallen her. The Queen
Nut
wept inconsolably while the King flew
into a tumultuous rage. He placed all
the blame for this tragedy on Herr
Drosselmeyer who had failed to rid
the Marzipan Palace of the Mouse
Queen. Herr Drosselmeyer and the
Royal Astronomer arrived upon this
horrible scene only to hear the King
shout, “Christian Elias Drosselmeyer,
cure the Princess, or you must die!”
The King ordered them out of the
Marzipan Palace, and vowed that if they
returned without the remedy to break
the curse, they would face the Royal
Executioner’s axe.
Using his Royal Orb, the Royal
Astronomer divined Princess Pirlipat’s
horoscope, which foretold how the
hideous spell could be broken and her
beauty restored. The Princess had to
eat the kernel of the Golden Krakatuk
Nut that could only be cracked open
by a young man who had never shaved
and had only worn boots. After feeding
the kernel to the Princess, the young
man had to close his eyes and take seven
steps backwards without stumbling.
Upon his seventh step, the “Curse of
Ugliness” would be broken and the
Princess would regain her beauty. The
vision of the Krakatuk Tree, led Herr
Drosselmeyer and the Royal Astronomer
to many exotic lands in search of the
Golden Krakatuk Nut. However, after
searching for fifteen-years, eight-months
and twenty-eight days, without success,
they decided to go back home to
Nuremberg, even if it meant they would
face execution. Oh, fortune! It was in
their own homeland that they found the
Golden Krakatuk Nut in the possession
of Herr Drosselmeyer’s brother and
nephew Christophe Zacharias and
Nathaniel. Many Christmases ago, a
stranger from the Orient had sold the
Krakatuk Nut to Christophe Zacharias
for a “shiny twenty-penny piece from
the year 1720.”

and the right of succession
to his Royal Throne to
any young man who broke
the curse. Over the fifteen
terrible years, thousands
upon thousands of suitors
had attempted to win the
hand of the Princess, but
failed. The King and Queen
were deep in despair over
Princess Pirlipat’s plight and
thought that their daughter,
now of marrying age, would
remain an ugly monster
forever.
Nathaniel Drosselmeyer
was Princess Pirlipat’s
11,375th suitor. After
greeting the King and
Queen, Herr Drosselmeyer
opened the Golden Krakatuk Box
and explained to the King that once
Nathaniel, who had never shaved and
only worn boots, cracked the Golden
Krakatuk Nut open and fed the
kernel to the Princess, the “Curse of
Ugliness” would be broken. The King
ordered them to proceed immediately.
Moving the mechanical jaw they had
constructed for him, Herr Drosselmeyer
and Christophe Zacharias helped
Nathaniel to crack the hardest nut in
the world. Nathaniel fed the kernel to
Princess Pirlipat and upon his seventh
step backwards, she was freed from the
“Curse of Ugliness.” The King and
Queen were overjoyed and wept tears
of joy for before them stood a woman
of angelic beauty. Unfortunately,
Nathaniel’s seventh step landed upon
the Mouse Queen and he fell on her
so hard that she was mortally wounded.
“Hideously squeaking and squealing,”
the Mouse Queen took her final leap
at Nathaniel and delivered the awful
bite upon him before she died. “Oh,

misfortune!” In the blink of an eye,
Nathaniel’s head became misshapen and
the “Curse of Ugliness” fell upon him.
Princess Pirlipat, horrified by this terrible
sight, refused to marry poor Nathaniel
and ran away holding both hands over
her face. To make matters even worse,
the Mouse King, the last son of the
Mouse Queen, who donned sevenheads in honor of his deceased brothers,
appeared and vowed to avenge his
Mother’s death. The King was enraged
and blamed Herr Drosselmeyer for all
these misfortunate events. He ordered
his Royal Clockmaker and Adept Court
Magician to find the remedy to free
Nathaniel from the “Curse of Ugliness”
or face the Royal Executioner’s axe.
Herr Drosselmeyer knew that Nathaniel
would only be freed from the “Curse
of Ugliness” when he slew the SevenHeaded Mouse King, and won the true
love of a lady despite his defects. The
King sent Herr Drosselmeyer off to
break the “Curse of Ugliness” yet once
again.

Clara, Father properly spanked Fritz. As a
matter of fact, Fritz and the rest of those
hideous little boys would have ruined
Mother’s beautiful Christmas party, if
Grandfather hadn’t quickly suggested that

Act I – Scene I
The Parlor of Herr and Frau Silberhaus
It was Christmas Eve, and Herr and
Frau Silberhaus were hosting a magnificent
party. The guests arrived dressed in their
most elegant finery. As the celebration
commenced, Clara, Fritz and Louise, the
Silberhaus children, anxiously awaited
the arrival of their Godfather, Herr
Drosselmeyer, the Royal Clockmaker
and Magician. He promised the children
he would bring them a marvelous gift
he had acquired during his long journey
around the world. They simply could not
imagine what could be more delightful
than Godfather’s mechanical dancing
dolls. Although Godfather Drosselmeyer
was a mysterious man, he was full of
magical tricks, a wonderful storyteller,
and always laden with splendid gifts.
Tonight, Godfather dazzled all the
children when he took the promised
gift he called the Nutcracker out of his
Golden Toy Box. After he demonstrated
exactly how the Nutcracker cracked nuts,
he gave this most coveted gift to Clara.
Fritz was immediately jealous of Clara’s
acquisition. Thinking that he should have
the Nutcracker, who looked more like he
should belong to a boy rather than a girl,
Fritz leaped out from behind Mother and
snatched the Nutcracker away from his
sister. While scrambling through the guests,
Fritz fell and broke Clara’s cherished new
gift. While Godfather gently wrapped
the wounded Nutcracker with his
Act I – Scene I
The Battle
That night, Clara could not go to sleep.
She could not stop thinking about how
Christmas Eve had been so delightful
until that dreaded accident occurred. She
thought of the poor wounded Nutcracker
downstairs all alone, and decided she
must rescue him. As she tiptoed into the
Parlor, she thought about how much she
hated her little brother sometimes, as big
sisters often do. As Clara stepped into the
darkness, she had no idea of the adventure
that awaited her. She did not know she had
been especially chosen by her Godfather
to break an ancient curse and free a young
man from ugliness. As Clara scooped her
beloved Nutcracker into her arms, she
felt an awful chill. Suddenly, there were
mice running all over the Parlor at the
command of the Seven-Headed Mouse
King. Clara fled to Grandfather’s chair,
and just when she thought she was about
to be devoured by that hideous creature
with seven heads, Godfather Drosselmeyer
came to her rescue. Clara could hardly
believe what was happening as Godfather
Drosselmeyer commanded the Christmas
tree to grow through the ceiling of the
Parlor, and transformed the Nutcracker
into a life-size Commander with his own
army of Gingerbread Soldiers. Clara was
thrilled and felt so safe, but then her dear
Godfather disappeared into the darkness,
and that horrible Mouse King returned
with his legion of mice. A fierce battle
ensued, and although the Nutcracker and
his Gingerbread Soldiers fought bravely,
the Mouse King slew the Nutcracker.
While celebrating his victory in avenging
the Mouse Queen’s death, Clara sneaked
up behind the dreadful beast and hit him
on the largest of his seven heads with her
shoe. The Mouse King tumbled to the
ground and died. Clara was kneeling at
the side of the Nutcracker, who was
mortally wounded, when she felt the
gentle brush of Godfather’s cape. At Herr
Drosselmeyer’s command the Nutcracker
arose from his sleep a beautiful young
man. The “Curse of Ugliness” had been
broken for the Mouse King had been
slain and Nathaniel had won the true
love of a lady despite his defects.

The Parlor disappeared at Godfather
Drosselmeyer’s command and he ushered
Nathaniel and Clara through the Land of
Snow on their way back to the Marzipan
Palace. Greeted by the Snow King
and Queen, they danced through the
Snowflakes with great delight.
Act II
The Marzipan Palace in
The Sugar Plum Kingdom
Brought to the Marzipan Palace
in a beautiful seashell boat drawn by
golden dolphins, Nathaniel and Clara are
welcomed by the Sugar Plum Fairy and
Cavalier. The Royal Court immediately
recognized the young man who had
freed Princess Pirlipat from the “Curse
of Ugliness.” As they greeted Nathaniel
as the rightful Prince, he introduced
Clara to the Royal Court as his future
bride, and told them about the terrifying
adventure he survived only with Clara’s
help. He assured the Royal Court that
Clara, who slew the Mouse King and
loved Nathaniel despite his defects, had
broken the “Curse of Ugliness” forever.
To celebrate this great victory along
with Nathaniel and Clara’s marriage, the
Sugar Plum Fairy and Cavalier command
that the Royal Wedding Feast begin.
Spanish Chocolate, Arabian Coffee,
Chinese Tea, Russian Trepak, Marzipan,
Mere Gigogne and her Polichinelles, and
Waltzing Flowers were summoned to
entertain Prince Nathaniel and Princess
Clara, who lived happily ever after
in the Marzipan Palace of the Sugar
Plum Kingdom under the watchful
eye of Herr Drosselmeyer, the Royal
Clockmaker and Adept Court Magician.

Described by The New York Times
as a conductor with “unquestionable
strength and authority,” Sarah Ioannides
has won praise from audiences and critics
internationally. She has appeared with
the Royal Philharmonic, New World
Symphony, and the London Symphony
Orchestra, among many others.
Appointed Music Director of the Tacoma
Symphony Orchestra beginning in 2014,
she also serves in that role with the
Spartanburg Philharmonic Orchestra, and
previously with the El Paso Symphony
Orchestra and the Cincinnati Symphony
Youth Orchestra, as well as Assistant
Conductor of the Cincinnati Symphony
Orchestra.
Previously, Sarah Ioannides served
as Assistant Conductor & Production
Coordinator for Tan Dun, the legendary
Chinese composer known for innovative
contemporary works, including the
score for Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.
In addition, Ioannides has directed and
commissioned films for live orchestral
multimedia performances including
Holst’s The Planets and Steve Reich’s
Desert Music.
In 2009 Ioannides was named in the
Los Angeles Times as one of six female
conductors breaking the glass podium.
Noted in The New York Times as part of
“a new wave of female conductors in
their late 20’s through early 40’s,” Sarah
Ioannides is a prizewinner of the Leeds
Conducting Competition and was also
awarded the JoAnn Falletta award for the
most promising female conductor.

choreographed by Marius Petipa
and Lev Ivanov to a score written
especially for the ballet by Pyotr Ilyich
Tchaikovsky, opened as a double
premiere with Tchaikovsky’s last opera,
Iolanta, at the Maryinsky Imperial
Theatre in St. Petersburg, Russia
on December 18, 1892. Although
Nutcracker and Mouse King, written by
German author, E.T.A. Hoffman and
published in 1816, was the original
story, Petipa adapted the libretto for the
ballet from The Tale of The Nutcracker,
a revision of Hoffman’s Nutcracker and
Mouse King, written by Alexandre
Dumas.
The first production of The
Nutcracker was a horrible failure. The
critical reviews were ambivalent about
the libretto, the choreography, the
music and the dancers. The libretto
for the two-act ballet, which had to
be greatly simplified, was criticized
for being “unfaithful” to Hoffman’s
tale. Hoffman’s Nutcracker and Mouse
King also contained a long Flashback
Narrative within the main plot entitled
The Tale of The Hard Nut, which
recounted why the Nutcracker existed.
Due to time constraints, The Tale of The
Hard Nut had to be excised from the
libretto leaving the plot incomplete.
Critical disapproval fell on Petipa’s
Nutcracker

choreography. Firstly for having the
children’s roles performed by real
children, who were students of the
Imperial Ballet School of St. Petersburg,
rather than adult dancers; and secondly
for the “confusing” choreography of
the Battle Scene; and thirdly because
the Sugar Plum Fairy did not perform
the Grand Pas de Deux until nearly the
end of Act II, which had not occurred
until sometime around midnight. While
critical reception of Tchaikovsky’s score
was somewhat improved over that of
the ballet, still some critics described
it as “astonishingly rich in detailed
inspiration,” and “from beginning to
end, beautiful, melodious, original,
and characteristic,” while others found
the Party Scene “ponderous” and the
Grand Pas de Deux “insipid.” The
ballet dancers fared no better as some
critics praised Antonietta Dell’Era,
the first Sugar Plum Fairy, for her
brilliant pointe work, and others called
her “corpulent” and “pudgy.” Olga
Preobrajenskaya, the first Columbine
Doll, was panned by one critic as
“completely insipid” and praised by
another as “charming.”
Despite the fact that The Nutcracker
was not well received by critics or
audiences at its World Premiere in
1892, it is the most performed and
popular ballet in the world today.

History of TacomaCity Ballet
I
n 1955, Miss Jan Collum founded The Jan Collum School of Classical Ballet to impart excellent classical ballet instruction, and
The Concert Ballet Group of Tacoma to offer dancers, who achieved a certain level of classical technique, artistry, and professionalism,
the opportunity to perform in the specialized atmosphere of a professional theater with a professional orchestra. The Concert Ballet
Group of Tacoma began with six dancers that soon blossomed into thirty. In 1965, The Concert Ballet Group of Tacoma was renamed
BALLETACOMA and established as a 501 (c) 3 Non-Profit Corporation. For the next thirty years BALLETACOMA, under the
Artistic Direction of Miss Jan Collum, forged a local, regional and national reputation for excellence in classical ballet instruction
and performance. By 1983, BALLETACOMA began performing The Nutcracker in the newly renovated Pantages Theater
accompanied by Tacoma Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of Edward Sefarian.
For the third time in 1995, BALLETACOMA was re-christened Tacoma City Ballet combining both the School and the

Merlino Art Center located at 6th and Fawcett in downtown Tacoma. The Jan Collum Ballroom, a spacious ballroom with high
ceilings, beautiful Palladian windows, decorative plaster moldings gilded in 24 carat gold, with sprung hardwood floors, is one
of the historic crown jewels of our city. Here in the beautiful Merlino Art Center, serving as Tacoma City Ballet School and
The Jan Collum Ballroom Theatre, dancers study, rehearse and perform the art of classical ballet in spacious old-world elegance.

acoma City Ballet, a Resident Arts Organization of the Broadway Center for the Performing Arts, presents an annual
performance season beginning with The Haunted Theatre in October, The Nutcracker and The Tale of The Hard Nut in December,
Mid-Winter Soirée in February, Storybook Ballet Theatre Fairy Tale Tea Party and Traditional Performance in May, and this season a fulllength Cinderella with the Tacoma Symphony Orchestra in May as well. In 2014-2015,Tacoma City Ballet celebrates its 59th season
proudly preserving and perpetuating a legacy filled with a rich history that has touched thousands of lives and will continue to do so.

For safety and consideration of all our patrons and performers, please observe the following guidelines
when attending a performance at the Broadway Center for the Performing Arts:
THEATER ETIQUETTE
FIRE EXITS
• Performances start promptly at their scheduled time. Please allow plenty of
time to park and find your seat.
Pantages Theater – Exits are located east and west of the auditorium on both
orchestra and balcony levels.
• Late seating is not guaranteed and is at the discretion of the House Manager.
Rialto Theater – Exits are located on both orchestra and balcony levels.
• If you must leave your seat during the performance, you will not be reseated until an appropriate break in the performance.
Theatre on the Square – Exits are located at the front entrance for the lower/
main level and on the north side of the building on the upper level.
To receive emergency messages, you may leave your name and seat
number with the House Manager. PLEASE remember to silence all
cell phone, tablet and electronic devices before entering the theater.
Please have hearing aides tuned to no higher than 75% of the maximum
volume.
ACCESSIBLE SEATING
All theaters are ADA compliant. Please request accessible seating at the time
of purchase. Assisted Listening Devices are available at all theaters.
ASSISTED LISTENING
Headsets are available for our patrons at no cost. A headset will allow you
to tune out little noises so you may listen to the performance without
distraction. Please notify a volunteer usher and one will be provided for you.
ATTIRE
A Broadway Center event is always an opportunity to dress up, but there is
never a dress code. Attire usually varies from nice casual clothing to formal
wear. Many people are allergic to perfumes. Out of consideration for your
fellow audience members, please use perfume or cologne in moderation
before entering the theater.
BACKSTAGE
No one is allowed backstage prior to, during, or after any performance
without proper authorization and identification.
CAMERAS OR RECORDING DEVICES
Taking photographs or making a recording of any kind during a
performance is not allowed and copyright restriction should be considered.
However, we do encourage you to take photos in the lobby or before the
show to share on Facebook or Twitter.
CHILDREN
Should your child become restless during a performance, you may be
asked to wait in the lobby. Children under 5 may not be admitted to some
performances; however our family shows are structured for a younger
audience and are enjoyable for the entire family.
A ticket is required for everyone regardless of age. When available, discounts
are available for younger audience members. Please contact the Box Office at
253.591.5894 with any concerns.
NO SMOKING
Smoking is allowed outdoors only at least 25-feet from the theater entrances
and where receptacles are provided.
PARKING
There are various parking options in Tacoma’s Theater District:
Blue pre-paid parking passes are valid at Park Plaza North, Rialto and
Subway Parking Lots only. Blue parking passes are valid from the time you
enter the garage until one hour after the show is over. If you choose to park
longer than this allowance, the parking attendant will add a ticket to your
windshield that will restart your post-show parking meter for additional time
used (to redeem, place the parking validation in the machine with payment).
Please note: the Rialto garage is always locked at midnight, please move your
car if you plan to enjoy additional downtown entertainment after the show.
For all Pantages and Theatre on the Square events, attended parking
is available at Park Plaza North Garage (located between 9th and 11th on
Commerce), which connects to the theaters through the sky bridge on the
fifth level. There is a $5 parking fee. The attendant is on duty for 30 minutes
prior and for one hour after the show’s conclusion. For more information,
contact Park Plaza North Garage directly at 253.572.4908.
Limited parking is also available directly across from the Pantages
and Theatre on the Square at the Subway Lot, 916 Broadway. There is an
$8 parking fee and no attendant on duty at this lot. Simply place your cash
in the machine or your blue pre-paid parking ticket in the box and write the
stall number on the ticket.
Street parking is usually available throughout the Theater District.
Electronic meters collect a fee for street parking from 8:00 a.m. until 6:00
p.m., Monday through Friday. Saturday is $2 for all day parking. There is a
two hour time limit at metered spaces. If you plan to park for more than
two hours during metered period, please consider an off-street garage.Visit

RESTROOMS
Pantages Theater – Located on the lower lobby and balcony levels, women on
2nd floor and men on 3rd floor. Wheelchair accessible restrooms are located
on the balcony level and accessible by elevator.
Rialto Theater – Located on the main floor and balcony level. Wheelchair
accessible restrooms are located on the main floor.
Theatre on the Square – Located in the lobby near the front entrance.
TICKET INFORMATION
CONCESSIONS
Wine, champagne, soft drinks, coffee, tea and assorted desserts may be
available prior to the performance or during intermission. Refreshments are
permitted in the theater lobby, but are prohibited in the theater auditorium
at all times, unless otherwise noted.
Box Office Hours
Monday – Friday 11:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. and Saturday Noon – 4:00 p.m.
Additionally, the Box Office is open two hours prior to all Broadway Center
ticketed events. Please inquire within regarding holiday hours.
