Action can and will be taken to rescue any dog in distress that is confined to a vehicle. All vehicle owners
on the show premises automatically waive their rights to legal action or damages regarding dogs in
distress that are confined to a vehicle.
All persons attending these dog shows hereby waive any claim for damages against the Coyote Classic,
Tucson Kennel Club and/or Greater Sierra Vista Kennel Club or their members, in the event a motor vehicle
must be entered to rescue a dog in distress.
The Coyote Classic regards the health, safety and life of any dog on the show grounds to be paramount
to other property or privacy rights. We will not page anyone to a vehicle; we will take action.
Attention Exhibitors and Handlers
1. THIS IS A SELF-CLEANING EVENT.
2. Clean-up equipment is provided.
3. All exhibitors and handlers will be held responsible for cleaning up after their dogs; this includes
all aisles, all surrounding areas, and parking lots of the show site, and all hotel/motel sites.
4. If your dog soils in the show ring, the ring steward will hold your dog while you do the clean-up.
5. Please put all waste in the proper receptacles.
6. Please do not allow your dogs to relieve themselves on the building, shrubbery and trash
receptacles in the immediate vicinity of the entrances to Old Pueblo Hall.
7. By signing the entry form for these dog shows, you are agreeing that cleaning up after your own
dog on the show grounds and at your motel/hotel site is your responsibility.
8. Remember, all complaints regarding conduct prejudicial to the sport will be dealt with in
accordance with AKC Rules by the Show Committee which could result in disciplinary action.
Temporary Crating
Temporary crating at ringside will be allowed in designated areas at the discretion of the show giving

The Coyote Classic Dog Shows will Enforce
the Arizona/Pima County Leash Laws
Having a dog at large or roaming is a misdemeanor under Arizona law. Your dog must be kept in an
enclosed area when on your property. Tie outs are prohibited. Even if the dog causes no harm, the law
says it should be restrained by a leash when in public. The Pima County Fairgrounds, the Southwestern
Fair Commission, Inc., and the Coyote Classic Dog Shows will enforce the Arizona/Pima County leash
laws.
Regarding the Use of Flexible or Retractable Leads
Retractable Leads are dangerous to use in crowded or confined areas such as those that occur around
the show rings. Because of this danger, retractable leads are forbidden on the show grounds during
show hours.

Wednesday, October 28, 2015 PT. Fees should accompany entries. This club and/or its superintendent assumes no
responsibility for wrong or incomplete information given on the entry blank by the owner or agent of the owner. This club and its
superintendents assume no responsibility for the owner or owner's agents entering a dog in a class in which the dog is not
eligible to compete, or for entering the same dog twice.
2. Returned Checks do not constitute a valid entry fee. The Superintendent will add a collection fee to the amount of each
returned check and declined credit card. Subsequent returned checks for the same exhibitors may result in their being put on a
CASH ONLY basis. The returned check or declined credit card MUST BE MADE GOOD by cash or money order BEFORE the
dog will be allowed in the ring.
3. Exhibitors' Identification tickets and judging programs will be mailed to the address given on the entry blank. If not received

ring when the steward calls for the class. Owners of dogs or the handlers of the dogs alone are responsible for the presence of
their dogs in the judging rings. This means it is not the responsibility of the ring steward, nor of any agent of the show-giving
club to locate any dog, its owner or handler, when the dog's presence is needed in a judging ring. It should be understood by
every exhibitor and handler that waiting for dogs to be brought into the ring is a courtesy extended to the owner or handler of the
dog. There is no rule of this club nor of The American Kennel Club that requires a judge to wait for an owner or handler to bring
his dog into the ring. Show hours are 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
5. All trophies and prizes must be claimed at the Trophy Table. All trophies must be claimed the day of the show. None will

whether the result of accident or other causes and in addition assumes no responsibility for any loss, damage or injury
sustained by an exhibitor or handler. It is distinctly understood that every dog at this show is in the care and custody and
control of his owner or handler during the entire time the dog is on the show premises.
8. No grooming tables, pens or exhibitors setups will be allowed in the aisles and all grooming must be done away from the
judging ring in areas specified by the club.
9. Entry fees shall NOT be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, sick, lame, excused by veterinarian or

of entry prior to closing of entries.
10. There is no provision offered for un-entered dogs at this show.

12. If, because of riots, civil disturbances or other acts beyond the control of the management, it is impossible to open or
complete the show, no refund of entry will be made.
13. Do not leave any dogs in closed vehicles.
14. Dogs which according to their owners' records have completed the requirements for a championship after the closing of

NATIONAL OWNER-HANDLER SERIES
FRIDAY, SATURDAY AND SUNDAY
Tucson Kennel Club and Greater Sierra Vista Kennel Club offers a Rosette for Each
Group Placement.
The AKC National Owner-Handled Series will be conducted following Best of Breed judging in
each breed ring. All dogs in the BOB competition (including WD & WB) will stay in the ring after
the judge makes their placements in BOB competition. The ring steward will ask all professional
handlers, household members and current assistants to professional handler to leave the ring
and then the judge will then select the Best Owner-Handled (BOH). The dog and its owner will
continue to accrue points for any group placements or Bests in Show.
The top-ranked dogs from the AKC National Owner-Handled Series are posted on the AKC
National Owner-Handled Series Points Ranking page. Rankings of the dogs competing in the
Series are compiled based on the Best of Breed, Group, and Best in Show placements in this
specific Series competition (See Point Schedule). The end of year competition for the AKC
National Owner-Handled Series will be held in conjunction with the AKC/Eukanuba show in
December. Dogs that finished ranked in the top ten (plus ties) for their breed during the
qualifying period will be invited to compete in the competition. Dogs exhibited by professional
handlers on the day of the event are not eligible for this competition. Dogs exhibited by current
assistants and household members of a professional handler on the day of the event are not
eligible to enter this competition.
Professional handlers are defined as any person who belongs or has belonged to a professional
handlers' organization, distributed rate cards, or otherwise advertised or represented
themselves as handling dogs for pay within the last five years.
For more information about the Series or if you have questions about hosting these events,
please contact the AKC Events department at (919) 816-3579 or [email protected].

BARN HUNT!
Got Rat?
New for 2015!
Barn Hunt trials Friday, Saturday and Sunday
Presented by
Arizona Barn Hunt
Barn Hunt is a fun sport for all dogs. Dogs search for one or more rats (safely
housed in aerated tubes) on a course made of straw bales. The dog has to find the
correct number of rats within a set time limit and the handler has to tell the judge
when a rat is found. Dogs also have to go through a tunnel and climb on at least
one bale. In addition to rat tube(s) there will also be empty tubes and tubes with
used rat bedding but no rat.
Want to see if your dog can get its RAT on?
Learn the rules and register your dog for Barn Hunt at http://www.barnhunt.com
