Captain Yogi's 'Useless But Important Information'
Well, I'm only into my second month of being your captain and things are already
starting to happen!
It sounds like Midwinter Meltdown was a GREAT weekend of music, fun and
phriends. I DID see one of our members was there only an hour and was sent to
the corner. No names, but I think she is the wife of one of our beloved musicians.
(See Sue, no names!) Wish we could have been there, but never fear, there are a
lot more opportunities on the way!
One of our big events coming up next is the Parrot Head Spring Break Pool Party
at the Wyndham Garden Hotel in West York on March 26th. This will be dual
club event with the Hanover Club. Yes, it is an indoor pool and you will be able to
swim. Yes, there will be music with Tropical Soul! Also, we just confirmed that
DJ Breezmon will be playing at the after-party in Fenderz. Non-members are also
invited to this event so bring your friends and family. We are looking for people to
help on the committee and at the event! Don't forget the Corn Hole Tournament,
WE NEED TO KEEP THE PHLOCKING TIKI TROPHY! Get your partner and
start warming up!
Last, but not least, time to get on my soap box. We have a GREAT club that does great things of which I am extremely
proud. I think all of us should get the word out about what a great thing we have going here—what we do for the community and (of course) our motto 'Party With a Purpose'. Once people recognize that we are not just a Jimmy Buffett
Fan Club, and are aware of the events and parties that we do outside of a Buffett concert they will be interested in joining the party! If everybody can get one phriend to join, we could be one of the premier clubs!
