Grey Band Message When using the Shaper RZ 25/Finisher 10 bur
Grey Band Message When using the Shaper RZ 25/Finisher 10 bur* combination, if it’s ever necessary for a user to mill with a size 85 block from an approved Sirona block manufacturer*, the user may notice a grey band in the block such as the one displayed above. *Using RZ 25/Finisher 10 burs requires that the Mill Unit be of a specific serial # or higher or may require the user purchase a motor upgrade. Please contact the PTC or your local Patterson branch with any questions. * The block used in this example is the Sirona InCoris ZI and in Administration when selecting the material, “Milling” was selected as the option for the material so that the Shaper RZ25/Finisher 10 burs can be utilized. Updated: 08.19.2014 1 Grey Band Message If the restoration is position so that it contacts the gray band and tries to mill the user may get the following message “If you have positioned restorations in the grey band, please insert a new instrument for the manufacturing process.” This is an informational message that is advising that the user may want to ensure new Shaper RZ 25/Finisher 10 burs are inserted for the best and most accurate milling results. If the user clicks “OK” the software returns the user to the Mill Phase screen so that they can access the Change Instrument Screen to insert new burs if the user determines it’s necessary.
