I have for sale a 1990 Chevrolet V2500 Suburban (3/4 ton four
I have for sale a 1990 Chevrolet V2500 Suburban (3/4 ton four-wheel drive) with hard-to-find factory fourspeed manual transmission. This vehicle has been driven less than 73,000 miles and is in very good to excellent
condition. The last two pages of this document are the build sheet which provides specifics on the components
and options.
This Suburban was owned/used by the Montana State Office of USDI-Bureau of Land Management. I am fairly
certain it was used by the BLM land surveyors. As a GSA vehicle, it does not have the chrome strips,
carpeting, and other fancy stuff like the Suburbans that were sold off dealer lots. It is plain and rugged.
Back in 1997 I realized the 3/4-ton manual-transmission Suburbans I was using for my business were rapidly
disappearing. I bought this one for a “spare” at a GSA vehicle auction in Billings during August of that year. It
has been stored indoors since then and I have never licensed it.
This vehicle has the 5.7-liter (350 cubic inch) gasoline engine with throttle-body fuel injection along with frontand-rear air conditioning and front-and-rear heaters. It has the removable third-row seat and an aftermarket
receiver hitch.
During July 2014 I had the AC professionally converted to R-134a. At that time I gave it an approximately 50mile test run to make sure it did not overheat in summer temperatures with AC going full blast.
It is my opinion that a fair price for this rare Suburban would be $8,000.00 sold on a cash basis and picked up
by the buyer at Cody, Wyoming. If you have a different opinion on fair pricing, please make me an offer.
