et’s fly away to Neverland at the 10th Annual Ice Crystal Gala on Sunday,
November 20th at the RBC Winnipeg Convention Centre. “Come with
us where dreams are born and time is never planned.” The Ice Crystal Gala
is a one of a kind, black-tie event for families and Foundation friends to raise
funds for the Children’s Hospital.
Since its inception, the Gala has raised over $1.45 million to support the
Children’s Hospital Foundation of Manitoba’s efforts to provide specialized
pediatric care, and fund ground-breaking research at the Foundation owned and
operated by the Children’s Hospital Research Institute of Manitoba.
With over 900 people in attendance at the RBC Convention Centre Winnipeg,
the Ice Crystal Gala provides an evening of enchanting children’s activities, musical
entertainment and unique auction prizes, making it a truly memorable experience
for businesses, professionals, pirates, pixies or children who never want to grow up!
Last year the Ice Crystal Gala raised over $450,000 net; successfully providing
financial support to purchase surgical equipment, fund a position in the new
Women’s Hospital and upgrade specialized equipment for spinal and brain injuries.
Because of the Gala, the Children’s Hospital Foundation of Manitoba was also
able to purchase 21 newborn bassinets so that mothers can sleep in the same
rooms as their new babies.
Not only did the Gala make a difference at the pediatric research facility and in
the hospital, it also made a difference in the lives of Winnipeggers by contributing
the leftover turkey dinners to Siloam Mission & Agape Table.

hospital each year – 54,000 of those are brought into the emergency department
per year – 140 each day.
