Installation
Any fears about being able to install Apollo worktops should be
quickly dispelled, as installation is relatively easy for either a
competent DIY specialist or a recognised kitchen installer to
undertake.

to this, free installation training courses are also available. We
strongly recommend that all installers attend a training course,

Quicktops® offer the combination of strength,
durability, functionality and beauty, at an affordable
price. Apollo® Quicktops® offer an excellent selection
of colours, including the stunning metallica quartz collection.
Apollo® Acrylic Doors are a range of 100% 18mm
thick, solid acrylic, high gloss doors. Rich, solid and
uniform in colour, apollo® acrylic doors are available
in 22 colours, which offer a sleek, stylish and
contemporary look to your home. Apollo® acrylic is
also available in 4mm thickness for splashbacks,
cladding and end panels etc.
An affordable, but high quality alternative to other

Introduction to Apollo® Magna
Apollo® Magna Solid Surface is a 6mm solid through coloured mineral
material, with an acrylic polyester resin pigment base on chipboard
core with 1mm laminate balancer to underside.
Apollo® Magna solid surfaces are the ideal choice for the would be

Technical Information
• Any cut edges on a chipboard base material must be sealed with
a chipboard sealer prior to installation
• Apollo® Magna solid surface can expand as much as 1mm/mtr, so
always allow a gap of at least 3mm if for example, worktops are
captive between walls
• Splashbacks and upstands over 100mm high must have a
minimum gap from the face to the rear of the hob:
Electric 50mm, Gas 120mm
• Allow a minimum 50mm from the cutout to the front edge
• Allow a minimum of 120mm between heated cutouts
• Overhangs in excess of 300mm should be supported and the
worktop should be supported every 600mm
• Do not pour boiling hot water directly into solid surface sinks, and
where constant boiling hot water taps are fitted, please ensure
they are not left running directly into solid surface sinks
• Heat producing appliances that sit beneath the worktop, must
have an aluminium foil membrane placed on underside of the
worktop, directly above the appliance
• Ensure that pans used on gas hobs are of correct size
• Hob flanges need to sit on aluminium thermal insulation tape
around the cut-out, to avoid conducting excess heat and causing
cracks in the worktop
• Flush mounted or recessed hobs (including induction hobs) are
not covered under warranty
• Tolerence in Apollo® Magna is ±2mm
• Plastering or tiling should be completed after installation
• Regular use of your Care & Maintenance Kit should ensure that
your worktops always look good

Apollo® Slab Tech has become increasingly popular in the marketplace,
with itʼs “chunky good looks” and unlike many other solid surface
worktops, Apollo® Slab Tech is a “solid 20mm or 30mm” and has no
MDF or chipboard sub structure!

The Apollo Urban sink has a stainless steel base and is available in the colour of
your choice to match or co-ordinate with your worksurface.
The top edge detail will be bevel edge unless otherwise stated.
Stainless steel bases can be susceptible to scratching.
There can be a slight variation in colour between sink and worktop.
In order to avoid any colour variance between the top and the bowl, we suggest a
bevel or moulded edge. If this is not specified, we will use our discretion as to which
detail will be used.

jointed pieces of kiln dried timber

for differences between samples and stock once your worksurface
has been manufactured

Important points to note
• Worktops can expand as much as 1mm/mtr, so always allow a
gap of at least 3mm, where worktops are captive between walls
• Overhangs in excess of 300mm need support
• Should be supported every 600mm
• Allow a minimum of 50mm from the cutout to the front edge,
50mm from the back edge and 120mm between two hob cutouts
• Plastering or tiling should be completed after installation.
• Drainer grooves may have a slightly duller appearance than the
worktop
• Tolerance in Apollo® Quartz ±2mm
Important - please note
• Engineered stone is manufactured in batch processes and
includes naturally occurring components. Some colours have
different levels of pigmentation and/or particle distribution. This
may lead to variation in the appearance of the worktop and is not
a product fault.
• Plain colours are prone to contamination (e.g. light colours show
small dark spots while darker colours may appear patchy with
lighter spots) and occasional contrasting coloured stone chips can
be expected in material of natural origin; these are not defects in
the material.
• Where mirror reflectors form part of the matrix of the worktop their
distribution and orientation will be random; it is not possible for all
mirrored flecks to be facing the surface; where surface mirror
flecks become detached these may sometimes be repaired using
a resin filler, this is not a product fault.
• Apollo® Quartz is vibrated to remove air trapped during
manufacture and it is common to find very small air holes in the
surface of all colours, these are inherent in the manufacturing
process of engineered stone and are not considered as
defects.
This process is industry standard and does not affect your warranty.
We endeavour to produce your worktops without voids or airholes,
inevitably this is not always practically possible.

Granite is a natural substance and no two pieces of granite ever look
exactly alike, giving it an individuality that no man made product can
boast. The composition of minerals and the deposit it was quarried
from, all play a part in the appearance of granite.
Granite is a coarse grained, crystalline igneous rock primarily
composed of Quartz and Feldspar. It forms from slowly cooling
magma that is subjected to extreme pressures deep beneath the

The Apollo® Urban sink has a stainless steel base and is available in
the colour of your choice to match or co-ordinate with your worksurface.
The top edge detail will be bevel edge unless otherwise stated.
Stainless steel bases can be susceptible to scratching.
There can be a slight variation in colour between sink and worktop.
In order to avoid any colour variance between the top and the bowl, we
suggest a bevel or moulded edge if this is not specified we will use our
discretion as to which detail will be used.

All Apollo® Urban sinks come with a stainless steel base,
combining the practical qualities of stainless steel (which has
proved to be an extremely durable material ideal for kitchen
sinks and commercial applications) whilst maximising the
beauty of solid surface.
Apollo® Urban sinks are available at around half the cost of
similar solid surface sinks on the market and are available in a
number of popular sizes.
The Apollo® Urban sink enables the sink to be integrated
seamlessly into the worktop, so effectively it looks like part of
the worktop.

Any fears about being able to install Apollo® worktops
should be quickly dispelled, as installation is relatively easy
to carry out for either a competent DIY enthusiast or
recognised kitchen installer.

The Apollo Installation and
Care & Maintenance Kits
Caring for your Apollo® worktop couldnʼt be
easier, all you need is included in the Apollo®
Installation/Care & Maintenance Kit. Please
read the instructions contained in the kit
carefully for full details of how to keep your
worktop in pristine condition.
Cleaning Apollo® worktops:
Wipe down the worktops daily and as
needed using water. Once a week wipe down
with a damp cloth and the detergent (which
formulated with a neutral pH) contained in
your Installation/Care & Maintenance Kit.
Do not use harsh chemicals!
Apollo® Granite, Quartz & Wood worktops:
Never use abrasive cleaners on Granite,
Quartz or wood worktops, they can scratch
and pit the surface of the worktop.
Apollo® Slab Tech, Apollo® Magna &
Quicktops® Solid Surface worktops:
For more stubborn marks and stains on solid
surface worktops, use Cream Clean (which is
contained in your Care Kit). Follow the
instructions in the booklet contained in your
Apollo® Installation/Care & Maintenance Kit.
