Next Board of Directors Meeting: Tuesday July 21, 7PM, in the Harwood Room of the Midway Hotel, 1005 South Moorland Rd, Brookfield Thoughts of the Month from Dawn Summer has finally arrived and so have the start of our summer activities. The club has Monday night biking, which is a faster pace ride, and Wednesday night, which is a more casual ride. If you have not biked with the club before, it’s a good way to meet new people. On Wednesday we have Volleyball at Greenfield Park and Tuesday golf at the various Milwaukee County courses. This summer we have something new with a one day trip to Lambeau Field and an overnight trip to see the Ford Museum in Detroit. Club members Jean and Tom Bronson have volunteered to organize and lead these trips. Returning favorites are Black River State Forest & Door County Camping trips, Apostle Island Sea Kayak & Swim Weekend, Badger Game and the Corn Roast. CELEBRATIONS The Sitzmark Ski Club is celebrating its 50th year and we are looking for ideas on how to celebrate. If you have suggestions please email the board at: [email protected] or call me at 414-315-5100. UPCOMING CHANGES The clubs monthly membership meetings for the past few years have been at Cali’s bar at the Midway Hotel. They have under gone renovations and now have a brand new Ground Round Restaurant that occupies the old bar and restaurant area. In the short term we will be using the Midway’s banquet rooms for our meetings. Megan Reilly and Dave Wherry are heading a committee to discuss the future of our meetings and how to promote the club. We need Sitzmarks to voice their opinions, suggestions, ideas, & potential solutions as to what we should do about our monthly meetings next year and to have a discussion on what you would like to see! Contact Megan at [email protected] or call 414-617-1995. Looking forward to seeing you at some events this summer!
