CTION BULLET RESISTANT specializes in bullet and blast resistant architectural
metal systems. We custom fabricate our storefront on premises. Our systems are
designed to be installed in new or retrofit construction, for use in small jobs such as
gas stations, banks, and guard booths, to larger jobs such as courthouses, schools,
GSA buildings, and military bases. We normally cut weeks off our competitors’ lead
times due to our full service in-house fabrication.

Action Bullet Resistant offers you a complete
system. Action’s staff will help you design a system
to fit your budget and needs applicable to your
project. Their staff will prepare CAD shop drawings
at no additional charge and work with you to
incorporate any specific requirements you may
have. For blast resistant jobs, third party engineers
will supply a stamped in depth engineered report
with blast calculations, connection points, and steel
reinforcement if required.
The BR 150 and 250 curtain wall are screw spline
systems, eliminating the need for clips. The system
snaps together in the field similar to a flush glaze
system. The vertical legs have the pressure bar
and beauty caps incorporated into the system. This
eliminates the steps to drill, countersink and fasten
as well as handling two more components. The
savings in labor afford us the opportunity to give
the customer more products for less money.

LEVEL 1 PROTECTION
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Action Bullet Resistant’s Level I Curtain Wall Systems
are specifically engineered to protect against Medium
Power Small Arms (MPSA) 9 mm Caliber ballistic
attack as well as low blast levels such as the Min DoD
UFC criteria.
 You have a variety of glazing types to choose
from. Action uses laminated glass, laminated
polycarbonate, glass clad polycarbonate, BR
acrylic and more
 The curtain wall system is available in dark
bronze anodized; clear anodized, Kynar painted,
powder coated and cladded finishes.
 The system is a screw spline system that mulls
together, which translates into savings in
fabrication labor and field installation time. This
keeps our system cost-effective and enables us
to give the customer more protection.
BR 150 curtain wall is an aluminum construction, level
1 protection which is 9mm rated. This is considered
medium level ballistic protection MPSA, typically used
in lower-risk situations. Action has two frame profiles
similar to a non-bullet resistant (2 ½” x 4 ½” and 2 ½ x
7 ½) aluminum curtain wall. There are no ballistic infills
unless framing has to meet blast resistance.
Engineering for blast could mean that steel clips and
infills may be needed depending on surrounding
conditions. Available finishes, are clear anodized, dark
bronze anodized, Kynar paint, powder coat paint and
cladded.

Storefront is designed to meet UL Standard 752
threat level III Super Power Small Arms as well as
medium blast levels such as GSA level C
Action Bullet Resistant’s BR450-4 Curtain Wall
Storefront is designed to meet the UL Standard 752
threat level IV, V and VIII. Level IV is resistant to .30
caliber rifle. Levels V & VIII are resistant to 7.62mm
rifle. Additional steel clips may be necessary for blast
resistant depending on surrounding conditions.
 The BR250 Curtain Wall system is a screw
spline system that mulls together, which
translates into savings in fabrication time and
field installation. This keeps our cost-effective
and enables us to give the customer more
product.
 Curtain Walls feature a 2 ½” x 4 ½” framing
system.
 The BR450 Level IV, V & VIII Curtain Wall
system is a screw spline system. The frames
are fabricated at the factory and shipped for
field installation.
 Curtain walls feature a 2 ½” x 4 ½” framing
system with a 1” glazing pocket to receive
appropriate security materials. Also available
with an extension to accommodate thicker
glazing material.
 Curtain walls and door systems are available in
clear anodized, dark bronze anodized, Kynar
painted, powder coated and clad finishes.

Action Bullet Resistant’s UL 752 Level III and IV
exterior windows systems are designed and
specifically engineered to provide maximum
protection against ballistic attack. The windows meet
ASTM E 283-99, ASTM E 330-96 and ASTM E 33100 air, water penetration and structural performance.
There are a variety of glazing types to choose from.
BL 350-4 FIXED WINDOW
Level IV
 Window frame features an inside set glazing in a
2 ½” x 5” thermally broken frame.
 Fixed window is available in a clear anodized
and a dark bronze anodized finishes. Painted
finishes available with a minimum order
quantities.
 Accepts a variety of glazing types with thickness
up to 2 ¼” and a glass bite as much as 1.193
inches.

Action Bullet Resistant’s Level IV heavy commercial
aluminum sliding exterior windows and doors are
specifically engineered to provide maximum
protection against ballistic attack as well as blast
resistant. The windows also meet ASTM E 283-99,
ASTM E 330-96 and ASTM E 331-00 air, water
penetration and structural performance. The windows
are fabricated at the factory and are shipped ready to
be glazed and installed on site. Windows and doors
are most commonly used in guard booths.

window systems are designed and specifically
engineered to provide maximum protection against
ballistic attack.

sales counters, and all other applications where
transactions need to occur in security.

Action’s bandit barriers offer unobstructed vision and
are custom fabricated to fit any workstation. Tested to
UL 752, they are available in bullet resistance levels I,
II and III. Barriers are delivered ready for installation
and can be manufactured with voice ports or speakaround systems. Action’s bandit barriers are
commonly used in banks, convenience stores, checkcashing facilities, police stations, and any other at-risk
facilities.
