February 4, 2015 DMVelite High School All Star Weekend. Established in 2009 and now in its 6th year, DMVelite is poised to host the nation’s capitol top High School All Star Game Weekends. Scheduled for April 17th through the 18th 2015 at Dr. Henry A. Wise High School in Prince George’s County MD. “We have commitments from some of the top basketball high school Coaches, Amateur Coaches as well as basketball enthusiasts to serve on our Player Selection Committee”, said Chris Lawson CEO of DMVelite. We want an effective process for attracting and selecting the best players for this event. There will be three games total. The DMVelite North - South game; East-West game and DMVelite All Star game. “I created this format last year for the Capital Classic All Star game and it was well received by everyone,” said Lawson. “This format also allowed for more really good players to participate in the event.” The DMVelite All Star Game weekend is more than just about the top High School players competing for bragging rights and recognition. This All Star Game weekend is about engaging the DMV and US basketball Community for a weekend of fun, giving back to those in need and yes, and some really exciting high school basketball. The lineup of events is as follows: • • • • • Welcome Reception and Player-Coaches press conference, April 17th 2014 Pre-All Star Day activities including Players practices, interviews, autographs and youth participation, April 17th 2014 Player Skills Competition to include - 3 Point Shooting Contest – Slam Dunk Contest – Youth All Star Game April 17th 2014 North, South, East, West High School All Star Games, April 18th 2014 DMVelite All Star Game, April 18th 2014 Known across the country, DMVelite has grown its website media and sports reporting to more than 14,000,000 visits annually. The website is utilized by many players, coaches, college coaches, recruiters, reporters youth and high school basketball enthusiast worldwide. We are very excited to bring such an event and welcome the support of media, entertainers, event sponsors and the general public. DMVelite is eager and excited about its continuous commitment to community and those in need. Our partnership with Path To Greatness has provided us the opportunity to assist youth in need from hot meals, canned goods, school uniforms, Christmas toys, coats, and more through the Path To Greatness Showin Love program. 100% of the DMVelite All Star activities scheduled for April 17th 2015 will be donated to Path To Greatness Showin Love program.
