CFHOA Members Enjoy 2nd Annual Egg Hunt
O
n March 26th, members and their guests joined vendors at
the 19th Hole Pavilion for the second annual HOA egg hunt.
Children ages 2-12 had an exciting time hunting for 3,500 eggs
and browsing the vendor booths to look at products and enjoy the
crafts and games. Primrose School provided the bunny for pictures
again this year, and the HOA and other vendors joined to give away
more than 15 prize baskets and other items to the kids.
Winners included the Satterfields from The Fairways, the
Medinas from Grand Mesa, and the DeMuths, Putnams, Lucas’
and the Lo’s from The Highlands. Prizes included baskets filled
with treats, a variety of stuffed animals, candy and even a homemade Easter bunny cake!
Vendor sponsors included Brain Balance, Giddens Homes,
Usborne Books, Devlyn Optical, Fabulous Paws, Liberty Mutual,
Anderson Chiropractic Leander and Keller Williams.
Kids had a blast with the pony rides provided by Cornerstone
Farms, who will be back for more fun at our Summer Celebration.

Texas Living Fences: The Xeriscape Palette Plan
Continuing our series of themed
landscaping plans from The Texas
Living Fence™ guide published by
The Lookout Group, the Xeriscape
Palette is a popular theme for those
who want to landscape with water
conservation in mind. Native Texas
agave, muhly grasses, rosemary, lantana and other drought resistant plants
offer a combination of color and texture. Choosing native evergreen vines,
taller plants near the fence and lower
ones in the front of the bed, owners
can create privacy, limit water use and
can still have bright color and variety
of texture and native beauty. All of
the Living Fence palettes are being
incorporated into the next edition of
the Crystal Falls landscape design
manual. Download this free guide at

Cedar Park Regional Emergency Center Opens
in Crystal Falls, Provides Nearby Quality Care
On March 22, Cedar Park Regional Emergency Center
(CPREC) opened its doors as Leander’s first emergency
center. Located at the corner of Crystal Falls Parkway
and Lakeline Blvd, the 9,500 square foot center is staffed
with specialized emergency physicians and nurses, and
9 patient rooms to provide care 24 hours a day, 7 days a
week. CPREC offers the same diagnostic equipment and
full-service lab found in most emergency rooms, including
CT Scan.
According to Brad Holland, Chief Executive Officer,
“I am very excited to open the Emergency Center to
provide faster access to care for residents of Leander and
surrounding areas. In planning the Center, we chose the
ideal location that is close to many of the communities
we serve. Our team of emergency doctors and nurses will
provide compassionate, family-centered care. As the name
Cedar Park Regional Medical Center implies, we are truly
dedicated to meeting the healthcare needs of our region.”
CPREC is a department of Cedar Park Regional Medical Center (CPRMC). If patients need to be admitted to the
hospital, require surgery or cath lab interventions, they will
be stabilized and transported via ambulance to CPRMC,
which provides support for inpatient and critical care
services.
While urgent care centers offer some diagnostic tests
and can handle most non-life threatening situations,
emergency centers are open 24/7 and are equipped to
treat patients with severe conditions such as heart attacks,
compound fractures, respiratory distress and other life
threatening conditions.
Dr. David Lim, Assistant Medical Director of CPREC
states, “We are proud to be an emergency branch of the
hospital and to provide support for Leander.“
The new emergency center is a welcome addition to
the community, as it will provide more expedient care in
the event of an emergency in and around Crystal Falls.

Architectural Control Committee Answers
Spring Projects
Are Underway
Now that Spring is here, outdoor projects are underway!
Any exterior change is required to have approval from the
Architectural Committee, and they have seen an increase
in submissions as warmer weather arrives. Below are answers to some of the common questions they receive:
Sheds should be built on-site, on a foundation and of the
same materials and masonry percentage as the home. They
must be located inside the setback lines for the property.
No prefabricated sheds are permitted in Crystal Falls.
Fencing in the gated sections should be black wrought
iron and 4’, 5’ or 6’ in height. Non-gated neighborhoods
typically utilize wooden privacy fencing 6’ in height. Stain
colors must be within the approved range.
Pools should be located at the rear of the home and
within the setbacks of the lot. Patios, pergolas, and other
structures should also be located inside the setback lines
for the property.
Satellite Dishes should be located at the rear of
the home, behind the ridge line and screened from view
of the street as much as possible. Most dish companies
will automatically choose the easiest and quickest location
for installation, ignoring community deed restrictions,
unless specified by the homeowner.
AC/Utility Screening should be accomplished
with mature, evergreen native Texas Hill Country plants
such as muhly grasses or other plants in a size that screens
at planting vs. waiting for later growth. Plants should be
located 2-3 feet from the utility to allow room for access.
Large PEC transformer boxes should be screened on three
sides, leaving the front open for PEC workers.
Trampolines should be located behind the home and
outside the setbacks of the lot.
To obtain an Improvement Request form, go to our website at www.CrystalFallsHOA.com.
