La Mamounia, Marrakech’s iconic hotel reopened its doors on 29 September 2009 following an extensive three
year restoration project led by internationally acclaimed interior designer, Jacques Garcia. This legendary hotel

• In 1943, Winston Churchill famously commented to Franklin D Roosevelt that [Marrakesh] “is the most lovely spot in the whole world and he frequently sojourned at La Mamounia during the Winter periods. Several of his paintings of La Mamounia’s gardens hang in the Churchill Museum in England
