Santa Clara County Council 2010 Annual Report
Santa Clara County Council 2010 Annual Report
Scout Now is more than our theme for Santa Clara County; it is a
reminder to others that the Boy Scouts of America is an essential ingredient
in our kid’s futures.
Our vision, to be the premier youth organization in the county, continues
to challenge youth to make responsible decisions, take pride in one’s
community, develop leadership skills, and improve self-confidence all while
making life-long friendships.
There isn’t a better youth organization to prepare our kids to lead successful
lives!
Rich and robust programs, Scouting will positively affect the lives of 16,485
youth in Santa Clara County in 2010. Five years ago Scouting was serving
only 10,000 youth. In those short five years, the Santa Clara County Council
has nearly “doubled the impact” of Scouting by increasing the number of
youth who get a daily dose of citizenship, character, and personal fitness
training through our Scouting programs.
As we look toward the future we are proud of the enthusiasm in Scouting.
Thank you for your commitment to Scouting ensuring youth in our community
the ability to Scout Now.
