When we share in the arts, we empower one another and enrich our lives. The Woodruff Arts Center and our four arts partners provide diverse opportunities for individuals of all ages to engage with the arts directly and personally. However one chooses to participate, the impact created by a singular experience holds the possibility to initiate influential dialogue, create new relationships, and sometimes, even shift a life’s direction. 3 woodruff arts center: Report on Philanthropy 100 POINTS STUDENTS WHO TAKE FOUR YEARS OF ARTS and MUSIC CLASSES WHILE IN HIGH SCHOOL ON AVERAGE SCORE ABOUT ONE HUNDRED POINTS BETTER ON THE SAT THAN STUDENTS WHO TOOK ONE-HALF YEAR OR LESS. In these venues, our artists deliver performances of appreciation; render artwork that depicts the freedoms our armed forces defend; and contribute something vital to the lives of our military families. Through the generosity of The Home Depot and other supporters, we are continuing to provide access to these events and engage more veterans and their families with artistic experiences worthy of their service. 3,000+ Free and discounted tickets to the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, Alliance Theatre and High Museum of Art to active military personnel, veterans and their families. woodruff arts center: Report on Philanthropy 16
