Visit of Spoleto by foot
To visit Spoleto means to explore a fascinating reality that seems to send the visitor back in the old
times. Walking through the historic center alleys, walking in the magnificent nature landscape that
balance with the human work and visiting its famous monuments are these essential moments through
which the city unveils its soul. The majestic ruins from the Roman era, the remains of the Early Middle
Ages and Lombardic buildings, the beautiful Romanesque churches show the most ancient history of
Spoleto that is however, intertwined with the most recent thanks to the presence of a lot of
contemporary works of art. The very beautiful aristocratic palaces in the historic center are housing
important cultural events and by now, the Festival dei Due Mondi confirms, since the middle of the
century, the international vocation of this city, making it, every year, a place opened to every kind of
art.
Dinner at the Tempio del Gusto Restaurant
Il Tempio del Gusto, wine bar and restaurant, was created out of the love and experience of three
generations dedicated to the culinary art.
On the ruins made by time and the old proconsular road, the harmony of shapes, sounds and lights,
and the strong sense of hospitality, are based the core of a loving cooking, respectful of authentic
flavors. In this relaxing atmosphere, it is easy to let yourself go to the ‘Magical flavors’, skillfully made
by the chef and patron, Eros Patrizi.
Visit of Marmore Falls
Marmore Falls is a man-made waterfall created by the ancient Romans in the 3rd century BC when the
Roman consul Curio Dentato tried to canalize the waters of the Velino river to fall into the Nera river
realizing a canal of beyond two kilometers up the cliff of Marmore.
Extraordinary scenery, these falls are quoted in the book of Guinness Records because they are one one of
the tallest falls in Europe (165 m.) and the tallest man-made waterfall in the world and they are the main
character in the Valnerina landscape.
The falls offers five different trails equipped and marked that lead the visitor in the heart of the landscape
and allow him to watch the three falls from an unusual and fascinating point of view. A unique experience to
see the racket of water. Three of these trails run along the falls, one going through the upper part of the
cliff, in the Campacci area and another one going through a different part of the cliff in the front of the
waterfall.
Lunch at the Trattoria Teresa
Born in the fifties, at the beginning it was a simple ‘ow dive’, then it was transformed into a typical
restaurant. Here you can always taste fresh fish, cooked in different ways according to the local
recipes. Those who don’t love lake fish, can try our meat (local and international meat, from
Argentina, Ireland and Denmark), cooked on a big fireplace. Our Trattoria is just 2 km far from the
upper Belvedere of Marmore falls, as well as from Piediluco Lake, along the provincial road. From 2005
this restaurant was included in the guidebook ‘Il Gambero Rozzo’(where all the most genuine and
simple taverns and inns of Italy are listed).

Visit of Gabriele Montioni Farm
In Umbria, where reigns the perfect 'harmony’ between man and nature, where is kept alive the tangible
respect for nature and traditions, where the olive trees and vines dominate, there is the Montioni farm.
Founded in 1972 by Adeodato Montioni, the Montioni farm is one of the most effervescent and dynamic
companies in Umbria, always looking for something significantly innovative. It stretches for 12 hectares of
vineyards, olive groves and cereal crops.
The farm is located at just 150 m from the village of Montefalco and it is composed of The Mill, where during
the months of October and November takes place the production of extra virgin olive oil. The Cellar, where
they produce the wines of Montefalco and The Welcome Area, a building devoted entirely to hospitality and
tasting of its excellent products which are mostly oil and wine.

Thanks to its enchanting geographic position, at the top of a charming hill (473 metres) rising up in the
centre of the Clitunno, Topino and Tevere valleys, Montefalco is known as the "Balcony of Umbria". It is
equally celebrated for the frescoes in its churches, which make it an essential reference for understanding
Umbrian painting. Moreover, its sanctuaries are, for religious tourism, an important part of Umbrian
spirituality, which almost all wait to be discovered.
