The Hotel-Motel Association of Daytona Beach recently held its Annual Awards Dinner and
ceremony to honor outstanding Hospitality Lodging employees of the year.
We were fortunate to have one employee win:
• LeVonne Wheeler – “Guest Services Employee of the Year”
LeVonne is truly our Good Will Ambassador at the Sun Viking Lodge although her job title is
Pool Attendant. She welcomes back guests year after year, most of whom she knows on a first
name basis.
We also had three employees recognized with Honorable Mention Awards:
• Betsy Slaven – “Outstanding Employee of the Year”
• Svata Vavra – “Engineer/Maintenance Employee of the Year”
