The Freeplay Sherpa is a dependable self-powered LED

Self-Charge
The Companion has a power-out socket that delivers power
from the alternator to a mobile phone. Connectivity is via a
cable with adaptor tips customised for each particular mobile
phone. Adaptor tips are not included.
A glass-reinforced nylon handle with comfortable knob
harnesses human energy by cranking. The handle is
connected to the 3-phase alternator via a transmission.

For mobile phone applications talk time performance from the
FreeCharge is influenced by several factors. These include
phone make and model, network provider signal strength,
handset battery condition, duration and effort of winding and
the characteristics of the cigarette lighter adaptor used.
It is recommended that a minimum of 3 minutes winding be
applied before the phone is used. Generally, about three
minutes of talk time per minute of winding is achievable.

The output current is generally determined by the recipient
