Universal RAID Management Suite
Three options are offered, each with it’s own centralized interface: Web GUI (a web based graphical interface), CLI (command line
interface), and the Firmware/BIOS Utility (pre-OS RAID Management) and the independent RAID module onboard.

SATA Revision 3.0, provides dramatically improves performance by doubling the bandwidth available for storage
devices to 600MB/s.
The RocketRAID 600 Series are the premier SATA 3.0 RAID host adapters for connecting internal or external SATA
devices. The RocketRAID 600 series are designed to optimize storage performance and redundancy with
RAID levels 0, 1, 5, 10, and JBOD. Storage connected directly to the RocketRAID 600.
Rocket 620 Series
The Rocket 600 series are the industry’s first SATA 6Gb/s host adapter based on PCI-Express 2.0 technology. The
Rocket 600 series delivers the next generation of SATA performance with robust SATA connectivity.
The Rocket 600 series are the internal and external low-cost SATA 6Gb/s host adapters. They are fully industry
standard AHCI (Advanced Host Controller Interface) compliant and deliver Out-of-Box Ready installation for
numerous operating systems. The Rocket 600 series are backward compatible to PCI-Express 1.0 technology
and SATA 3Gb/s and 1.5Gb/s devices. They use the same cable and connectors as previous SATA generations

SAS Scalability
SAS can scale to 128 devices in a single domain. A SAS infrastructure can easily support a multitude of SATA drive with a single
SAS controller port. As more SATA drives and SAS RAID backplanes are added to a storage enclosure, SAS expanders on those
backplanes can seamlessly cascaded together. Requiring only a minimal number of ports on the HBA, and with more ports

The RocketRAID 3500 Enterprise SATA Series offers a complete family of hardware RAID controllers from 4 to 24
ports, utilizing the world’s fastest SATA I/O Processor from Intel. The Intel® IOP341 is a full-function IOP-based
RAID and with HighPoint’s TerabyteArchitecture to efficiently optimize the ADMA engines to delivered unprecedented
sustained performance, protection and monitoring features for vertical applications like NAS storage, cluster servers,
supercomputing, backup and archival, security systems and pro audio and video applications, often require I/O tuning
to meet the sustained Read/Write performance and protection mode needs.
Comprehensive OS Support
Universal software support for the RocketRAID 3500 Enterprise SATA Series includes the HighPoint RAID module
embedded into Linux kernel 2.6.25 and native support in FreeBSD 7.0 for all of the RocketRAID 3500 series
controllers.HighPoint works aggressively to ensure modules included in each successive kernel distribution. Fully
certified Microsoft WHQL drivers are available for Windows Vista and Server 2008 for complete compatibility with
Microsoft operating systems.
