CITY COMMISSION AGENDA MEMO December 17, 2010 FROM: Bernie Hayen, Director of Finance MEETING: January 4, 2011 SUBJECT: Cereal Malt Beverage License Renewals PRESENTER: Bernie Hayen, Director of Finance BACKGROUND The City of Manhattan’s Code of Ordinances requires that a license be obtained for any business selling cereal malt beverages. License fees for Cereal Malt Beverage License are $50 for off-premises and $200 for on-premises, as well as a fee of $25 for the purchase of the State Stamp for Cereal Malt Beverages. DISCUSSION The attached applications have met all requirements and all fees have been paid. FINANCING Not applicable. ALTERNATIVE It appears the Commission has the following alternative concerning the issue at hand. The Commission may: 1. Approve the attached applications for a Cereal Malt Beverage License. RECOMMENDATION City Administration recommends approval of the attached applications for a Cereal Malt Beverage License. POSSIBLE MOTION Approve an annual Cereal Malt Beverage On-Premises License for Hunam Chinese Restaurant, 1304 Westloop Place; and an annual Cereal Malt Beverage Off-Premises License for Kangolf, Inc., 800 Anneberg Circle.
